In the Sky-Watch Friday

October 17, 2008

Photo Shot Yesterday at 17:05

This is one special Skywatch Post for me because I shot it while I was a part of the Sky Yesterday. I shot this from a Gondola while I was about halfway down the Wheel of Fate, the Ferris Wheel at Enchanted Kingdom. In here, You can see the Homes and buildings around the city of Santa Rosa, a part of Laguna de Bay which is the Largest Lake in the Philippines and the mountainous parts of Laguna-Rizal.

This is my second time to ride a ferris wheel because I am not that daring before as I am now. This was truly a liberating experience especially while the wheel is doing its fast rotation and you can truly feel the air rushing through you and a mixture of nerves and pure joy can be felt from the heart. I even video called my mom and my brother while I was in the ride to show them how beautiful the view is.

I want to thank god for stopping the rain yesterday and gave us a very unforgettable experience and I hope on our next trip next week to Corregidor, the weather would be as perfect as it was because that would be a great trip with my high school friends that I haven't been with for quite a while! Hope the trip would come true and that it would be a great one as well!

Check out other bloggers around the world and see how special their skywtch photos are to them too! Just go to http://skyley.blogspot.com

  2. Only your second time? Duwag! Heeheehee!

I love ferris wheels! I'm weird — I actually like the feeling of my stomach dropping down to my toes. :D

The last time we went to EK and rode the ferris wheel, we saw a fire somewhere in Manila — it was awful. Hindi ko na tanda yung names ng rides, but did you do the pirate ship and the rocket? Loved the ship, but the rocket, OMG! Buti na lang hinuli namin yung rocket kundi nasira yung buong araw ko — wala akong ginawa pagkatapos kundi umupo sa bangko at uminom ng tubig!

I hope you enjoyed EK! Enjoy Corregidor too! Raiders of the Lost Ark — you'll see what I mean when you get there. Can't wait to see your photos!

  8. What a great shot and even better that you were part of the sky! Wow!

The flowers in my post are Pansies. These are a variety that flower right through the cold months of winter if planted in October.

  12. Excellent picture... and I enjoyed reading your post to... being a part of the Sky must have been a thrill... yesterday I was out on the local hill when a patch of low cloud came rolling over... for a good 1/2 hour I was hidden in the clouds alond with the hillside... It certainly felt chilly, and damp, but also peaceful. What was even better was I could hear the geese flying over... I could not see any until the clouds lifted but lots.. I should think in the high hundreds must have gone over..
Thank you for being a part of Sky Watch this week

  14. The view from the gondola is great. I didn't realize Santa Rosa is a beauty. It was not even a city when I left Pinas. So much have changed after I left, time to go back and reacquiant myself with the country.

  20. What a beautiful view. It reminded me of my first and only ferris wheel experience on my first and only visit to Enchanted Kingdom early last year. I was so excited to ride it because aside from the fact that I've never been to one before, I had a thing for them, and it's a symbol of something for me.

Ok, so much for the emo thingy. I really love this photo, and I love Laguna! Aside from being emotionally attached to the place, I think it's one of the most beautiful places in the Philippines. I love your Cavite too especially because I'm a history student, but I haven't been there as often. And that's why I will continue following your blog, to see more of Cavite, and your Corregidor adventure, although I'm still wondering why Corregidor should be under Cavite, when it's on the other side of Manila Bay. Hehe. Maybe I'll find out someday.

Oh and Manila Bay area is to have its own ferris wheel soon. Yehey.
