Worried about Money

February 21, 2010

On my ride to the University, I was very lucky to have ridden this Jeepney that has this sign just behind the Driver's seat. It says everything that I really feel for tough times as now and I wish everybody on this earth would. I am very happy that there are still people willing to Spread the Word of God in their very own possible way.

"Do you want to be truly Rich? You already are if you're happy and good. After all, we didn't bring any money with us when we came into the world, and we can't carry away a single penny when we die. So we should be well satisfied without money if we have enough food or clothing. But people who long to be rich soon begin to do all kinds of wrong thing to get money, things that hurt them and make them evil minded and finally send them to hell itself. For the love of money is the first step towards ALL kinds of sins. Some people even turned away from God because of their love for it, and as a result have pierced themselves with many sorrows"

The Passage tells us not to avoid money because of course, we do need it. But desiring for more and becoming greedy is when it becomes bad. It's not wrong to have a lot of money, unless you are doing your actions to share your blessings with other people and not using it for Power or the likes, then you really deserve all the blessings from God. Have a Great Week ahead!

  1. you're very lucky indeed to have ridden that jeepney.

i myself sometimes moan and complain that i need some extra money especially if i need to buy some "luho" stuff pero pag naiisip ko na marami nga ang hindi nakakain 3 times a day, ayan na stop na ako.

Thanks for sharing this Steven. A blessed Sunday to you.

  6. This is a timely reminder, Steven.

We are too reluctant to share the Word of God.
