McDonald's Tanza

June 27, 2011

McDonald's Tanza in the town of Tanza is one of the firsts and oldest McDonald's in Cavite that opened during the late 90's. It is located at the heart of the Town just a few blocks away from the Municipal Public Market of Tanza. It undergone quite a number of renovations to give way to the changing image of McDonald's here in the Philippines.

McDonald's Tanza or simply "McDo", as we Filipinos call it, has so much memories on my mind. I can still remember the days that I was collecting the Snoopy World Tour (I wanted to study about the world ever since I was a child, it was my play to read and learn Geography and Cultures) and my Parents have always been very supportive of it. It was a stormy day and we got no classes at school so instead of staying home, my Dad, my older brother and my cousin went to McDo Tanza which is a 20 minute drive from home and we bought ourselves Happy Meals to add up to the Collection. With my Mom and Dad's Support, I managed to Collect all 28 Countries and even at my age, I still play with them. Whenever I visit a Country, I always bring the Philippine Snoopy and the Country I was visiting just like when I went to Thailand, I brought Snoopy Thailand with me as well :)

A Man and a Foggy Night

June 25, 2011

Shot at Tagaytay City on a Night with Heavy Fog.

Foggy Nights at Tagaytay City truly amazes me each and everytime. As my Family went dining I just can't stop shooting and shooting until I got this shot. I really Love this shot because I captured the silhouette of the man looking above the signs and the headlight and all other elements that gave this dark photo so much light.

This will be one of my most favorite shots ever on Cavite Daily Photo. For me at least :)

Water

June 24, 2011

Photo above shows ripples on the puddle made by the rain, pouring non stop for days.

Today, the Philippines Celebrate the Feast of Saint John the Baptist or as we call him, San Juan Bautista. Saint John is the cousin of Our Lord Jesus Christ who is responsible for baptizing Him at the River Jordan. In the Philippines, during this 24th of June, people are splashing everyone with water using Water Hoses, Water Guns, Buckets and all the likes to celebrate this fun feast. I can still remember last year on my way to school, I was all dressed up for my afternoon class and then people started throwing buckets of water inside the Jeep so when I arrived at school, I was all drenched up!

Also, rain has been non stop due to Tropical Depression "Falcon" who is still in the Philippine Area of Responsibility at this moment. Classes are suspended, except for my school, due to strong winds, excessive rain that resulted to floods in different areas of the Country.

Water is not just a symbol of Blessing but it is a blessing itself. We should always remember to do our best in saving water because we will truly never know its importance until the last droplet of clean water has been used.

Tejero Bridge

June 21, 2011 - Tejero Bridge

The Tejero Bridge is the structure that connects the Historical Towns of General Trias and Tanza. Once included on the Same town of Malabon Grande, these Towns are separated by a long deep river which is regarded as the Border of the two towns. Everyday especially on afternoons until the evening, this bridge is flooded by thousands of vehicles passing through and from the Town of Tanza heading to their destinations.

This particular shot was taken from the General Trias side going to the Tanza Side. As you can see, on a closer look on the middle part of the photo, you can see the long wall with the Signs and Brands featured on my post Yesterday.

Signs and Brands

June 20, 2011

These Colorful Signs painted on Whitewash walls are located in the Town of Tanza on the coasts of Cavite. These Whitewash walls are the backs of the Municipal Cemetery of Tanza. It is one of the First things that anyone would be passing through on their way to the Highlands of Cavite if ever you are from Manila passing through Bacoor, Kawit and General Trias.

Theese large painted signs features Coca-Cola Products that are locally sold here in the Philippines. Since thousands of cars pass by these streets each and everyday, it is no wonder why Coca Cola chose this spot to paint and advertise.

Hotel del Oriente - College of International Hospitality Management

June 19, 2011

Hotel del Oriente is the very first hotel in the Philippines. It is the subject and the main concept of the College of International Hospitality Management Building at De La Salle University - Dasmariñas in Dasmariñas, Cavite. It is currently the newest Building in the University and is home to the Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Management Departments.

This Building has been featured on several TV Shows and Advertisements and is currently one of the symbols of DLSU-D. It features an open Square in the center where most events of the College are being held and a large number of Air-Conditioned Classrooms that houses hundreds of Students each and every day.

As you enter the massive entrance, it would really feel like you are entering not just the building but being warped to the Philippine Spanish Era. Future Plans for the Building includes a Cruise Ship Room and an Airline Room.

This post is actually in line with what the country is Celebrating right now. It is the Philippine's National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal's 150 Birthday! The man that is responsible for ending the Spanish Rule in the Country together with other Heroes. Thank you so much Rizal for doing everything for the sake of our Country! I hope we can continue living your dream for the Philippines.

Just Another Rainy Day

June 18, 2011

Photo above shows a wet windshield of a Jeepney battling the rainy winds on my ride home. Almost Every Filipino Catholic Vehicle has a rosary on the mirror hanging as a prayer for safety along the road and along the journey.

It was a rainy afternoon all around Cavite. The sky started to darken up very unusually starting at around 12 noon. It was really Dark and it's darkness is really a first in quite a long time. Then at around 2 in the afternoon, the rain started to pour softly and gradually gaining strength until we had quite a hard time hearing what the teacher is saying on our First Day of Classes at Education School.

I just hope that the rain will bring more blessings and prosperity and not tragedies among the Families on Cavite and throughout the Country. God Bless Cavite, God Bless the Philippines.

Gray Skies and Green Fields

June 17, 2011

It was a rainy afternoon when I shot this photo and luckily I have my Camera with me on my way home from school. This Photo of a blissful pasture reminds me of Southern New Zealand as I see it on photos and TV Shows. The sad and quiet gray skies and the vibrant greens of the grasses gives a cozy feeling to anyone that passes by them.

Through a closer look at the middle-right part, you can see a Carabao bathing along the Mud and a beautiful drifted tree at the center gives a dramatic feeling to it. As I went home I decided to take a bath in the rain which I haven't done since childhood and it was a great experience for me! When it rains in your place, Why don't you try it?

Here in our country, just like the skies you see, it is a sad fact that It never seems to have Seasons anymore. We only get Weather reports that are good just for another day because sometimes it gets too hot when it's in the months of cool weather and suddely it rains so hard in the middle of summer. I just hope and pray there's still a chance for the Environment to cope up with all these damage.

This is Cavite Daily Photo's Entry to Skywatch Friday! If wish to see other snaps of the skies from different Angles, Seasons, Latitudes and Longitudes, Visit Skywatch Fridayby clicking the Image Link Below! Enjoy Skywatching!

Pretty Perched

June 16, 2011

A Beautiful Brown Fully Breasted Bird perched on a sturdy Branch. This was taken from a large cage that's more like a small aviary to describe it the least. This Aviary houses like Ten Birds of around 4 species on a Coffee Shop in Amadeo, Cavite.

The Bird look very healthy and calm in the cool mountain weather of Amadeo, Cavite. It is said that during the afternoon, these birds create beautiful hums and tweets that relaxes everyone who wants to take a break and sip a cup of coffee in the Shop. Nature will always be the simplest and just the Best form of Entertainment anyone can enjoy.

Fireworks

June 14, 2011 - Fireworks

Photo Shot during the Closing Ceremony of the Hijas de Maria.

Nowadays, in every major celebration or Parties here in Cavite, Fireworks are always displayed on the dark night skies not like before, we can only see these fountain of lights during the New Year's Eve Celebrations. It also becomes a good status symbol for people of higher classes on how many Fireworks they can light up on various celebrations.

Philippine Independence Day

June 13, 2011 - Philippine Independence Day

Photo shot on my Birthday Celebration last June 4th as part of my Flag Collections.

Yesterday here in the Philippines, Today, in other Parts of the World, June 12th marks the 113th Anniversary of Philippine Independence. On this Day, the Filipino People celebrates and commemorates the National Heroes of the Past and the Present. I have always been a Proud Filipino and will FOREVER be Proud to be Pinoy!

May I teach you the Filipino Word which means Long Live! It is "Mabuhay". Long Live the Philippines, Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

In celebration of the Independence Day, I made a short Essay which I dedicate to all the Filipinos across the Nation and Across the Globe. It is Entitled "Munting Handog ni Sir Steven sa Bawat Pilipino" or in English, Sir Steven's (I'm a Teacher and people call me Sir ^^) small offer to Every Filipino. It is written in Filipino to give respect to our own Language. To all the Filipino's, This one is for you all.

Stevenson Masdal Que
Guro

Mabuhay ang Pilipino! Mabuhay ang mga OFW's! Mabuhay ang mga Bayani! MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS!

Combacheros

June 11, 2011 - Combacheros

Photo Shot at Tagaytay City

It was my Daddy's Birthday when we had lunch at the coolness of Tagaytay City. While everyone was having a good meal, a Three-Man string Band serenades along the tables and they are even open to Song Requests and we call them Combacheros. They Played the songs 'High' and 'La Bamba' and we really had a great Lunch Experience.
