February 20, 2010

I was homebound from the University on a Heat-filled afternoon when my Jeepney passed this cloud of smoke and we were all wondering were did it came from! Until we made the turn at San Francisco, General Trias, Cavite, where in this spot, oftenly called Monterey(Places from California isn't it) a massive smoke cloud was starting to get more and more bigger until we knew that the grasses are on fire. So the Traffic Enforcers made our Jeepney turn back and pass an alternative road just beside the main one, including that one in front of us.

Until now, there is still no exact proof as to how the Fire started but Jeepney drivers think it is because of those little shops that lined up the street that caused it.

By the way, to everyone that kindly leaves their touching comments, please do come back on that very post you left it because I always reply to them^^

Hi Steven.

off topic:

balak naming magkita kits ni Ms. Hilda sa March. Mas masaya kung makakasama ka.

Smoke is sometimes dangerous. I don't much like grass fires and forest fires are bad for the local area.

Steven (Cavite DP) said...

Abe - Me either! I have to admit I was quite alarmed when I saw that Massive Cloud of Smoke but I did manage to get a quick shot of it to share to everyone. It cause a very very long traffic up until the Highway.

I hope it got put out quickly. With everything so dry now, even small fires can pose such a big danger.

More than any other disaster, fire is the one that I am most afraid of.

Oh, and I always go back to your post I leave comments on. You've been responding to all comments ever since you started this blog! ;)

It's possible someone didn't throw away a match or a cigarette properly. Shame some people are so careless.

Patty - You are right! One of the main causes of Fire here in the Philippines are Cigarettes. They don;t dispose them properly or just make sure they kill the fire on it and just throw it on the streets and worse, on Grassy Fields :(

mievta - I could not agree more tha what you said. We should constatly be Vigilant when it comes to fire as it can vanish everything in a flash!
