I may be a big guy but I honestly am afraid of bugs, especially those with wings. But this one sure looks beautiful so I braved myself and got my phone camera and took a shot of it. It was just resting there and allowed me to take a photograph of her. Isn't she lovely? 

Does anybody know what type of Dragonfly this is?

Bird's Nest Fern

Antonia's Garden, Amadeo

The bird's nest fern is an epiphytic type of fern that grows on big or old trees. In Tagalog, it is called "dapo" or literally means "to perch" or "perched". It is a beautiful tropical plant that reminds me of lush rainforests that when added to gardens, will instantly bring a very lush feeling to it. They grow leaves that are so long and broad which almost resembles banana leaves.

This morning, I went out again for the third time (Yey Me!) But yes, I was just in the car until we arrived in our destination in Amadeo, a city in Cavite known for a more milder climate all year round. The city has lesser population than my native General Trias, so people are very much compliant to rules which only had less than 10 active cases since the Pandemic began.

We visited a friend's garden shop, Antonia's Garden, and got a few pieces for my room and my bathroom. I am so happy to have bought a sanseveria and a couple of philodendrons. You can check their plants for sale on their facebook account at https://www.facebook.com/AntoniaGardenPH/

I think another reason why the pandemic is not much affecting the area is because of it's closeness to Nature. It may sound crazy but I really think that the more a place is closer to nature, nature itself will give extra protection to its inhabitants.

Let me extend my apologies to my blogging friends for being absent these past couple of days aside from my daily posting. I am very excited to visit your blogs starting again this week. I missed you all so much and I saw all your heartwarming comments and will respond to them as soon as possible!

I Thirst For You O Lord! - Guest Post Sunday

Holy Mass at Saint Mary Magdalene Parish, Amadeo

If a photo can make you remember how it feels, then this is the photo I will choose. Last March 14th was the first day that I can no longer attend mass in our parish, due to the community quarantine, as we need to observe the importance of staying at home. I am in great dismay when the most important celebration is now limited to people. Now I feel a thirst that water cannot even suffice, a thirst for God's presence in the Holy Eucharist.

The present health crisis continuosly teaches us to be resourceful. The Catholic church recourses to technology by broadcasting live celebrations of masses, worldwide prayers, and even sacramental blessings. In every challenge like crisis as this, the universal church is ever supportive of our spiritual needs aside from the basic necessities. Sundays for me now are quite upsetting, I cannot celebrate the mass and sing my endless praise to God with my community. But I will always be looking forward to that day that I can come back to our parish and celebrate the great mystery of our faith, the Holy Eucharist.

Pretty Perched

A Beautiful Brown Fully Breasted Bird perched on a sturdy Branch. This was taken from a large cage that's more like a small aviary to describe it the least. This Aviary houses like Ten Birds of around 4 species on a Coffee Shop in Amadeo, Cavite.

The Bird look very healthy and calm in the cool mountain weather of Amadeo, Cavite. It is said that during the afternoon, these birds create beautiful hums and tweets that relaxes everyone who wants to take a break and sip a cup of coffee in the Shop. Nature will always be the simplest and just the Best form of Entertainment anyone can enjoy.

Cafe Amadeo

Amadeo, Cavite is famous for its Wonderful Coffee Industry and is even hailed as the Coffee Capital of the Philippines. It is Home to the Cafe Amadeo, a Barako Variant Coffee which is very strong yet it has this fruity hint in every brew. These coffees sold in these cute little rag sacks are made from locally grown coffee beans which are truly the pride not just of Amadeo but the whole Province of Cavite.

The Pahimis Festival is an Annual event which gives tribute to the bountiful coffee industry of Amadeo wherein free Coffee are brewed to everyone who likes to take a cup and savor the freshness of the cool, Mountain weather of Amadeo.
