Antonia's Garden

Antonia's Garden, Amadeo

This morning, I went out again for the third time (Yey Me!) But yes, I was just in the car until we arrived in our destination in Amadeo, a city in Cavite known for a more milder climate all year round. The city has lesser population than my native General Trias, so people are very much compliant to rules which only had less than 10 active cases since the Pandemic began.

We visited a friend's garden shop, Antonia's Garden, and got a few pieces for my room and my bathroom. I am so happy to have bought a sanseveria and a couple of philodendrons. You can check their plants for sale on their facebook account at https://www.facebook.com/AntoniaGardenPH/

I think another reason why the pandemic is not much affecting the area is because of it's closeness to Nature. It may sound crazy but I really think that the more a place is closer to nature, nature itself will give extra protection to its inhabitants.

Let me extend my apologies to my blogging friends for being absent these past couple of days aside from my daily posting. I am very excited to visit your blogs starting again this week. I missed you all so much and I saw all your heartwarming comments and will respond to them as soon as possible!

If you are in the Cavite of Manila area and you are interested to get yourself some houseplants from Antonia's Garden. They have a good variety of plants that you can choose from. Plus, they also ship your new family members via Lalamove (delivery charge at your cost) straight to your door and they offer a variety of payment modes that will best suit your account availability including GCash, PayMaya, and Bank Transfers.

  1. Yay for going out, dear Stevenson, and that´s a beautiful garden, too.
I love the roof in the background, I love the sound the rain makes on them! When we´re in Perth and it rains (sadly not often) we always sit outseide and enjoy the concert :-)
Perth friends call me then and ask if it rains in our place, too, even :-)

    1. Oh that is right! The place was so moist with rain, partly because it rained the day before plus the forest cover on that part of the city is still very good :) Oh we really are the same, I love sleeping with the sound of the rain outside!

  2. ...here, typically nature areas are less populated and the virus is less of a problem. But people often don't the health risks seriously.

  4. Hello,
I would much prefer the less populated areas. The garden photo is beautiful. It is always nice to buy new plants, it looks like they would have a great selection. They say it is good to have house plants, cleaning toxins in the air. Take care and stay well. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!

    1. We are very much the same Eileen! If only I can find a job that would enable me to work from home for an indefinite time, I would not mind living on a place far away (though I need internet of course for work HAHA)

Thanks so much Eileen and Happy new Week!

  5. That's a beautiful looking garden. Nature areas here are less populated too but then again our town has a little less than 1200 people. I love the rural areas. I grew up in a town with 95,000 people so I appreciate the peace and quiet and access to nature.

    1. Wow 1200 people! That is such a dream Bill, and it can even make the people much more closer despite the physical distance because it will have a stronger sense of community :)

  6. I hope you really enjoyed your break Stevenson. I agree with you about being closer to nature and open spaces being the key to avoiding the virus. Towns and cities hold many more dangers than the coast or countryside. So, stay safe.

  9. What a fabulous garden. And I agree with you. Being out in nature doesn't 100% protect you obviously, but it makes you a happier and healthier person. It looks like a great trip and I am glad you got to visit. Happy new week.

    1. That is true Maxine! Though I love more the plants that grow on your region, oh especially the flowers that grow there in NZ, I do agree that it is much more lush to be in the tropics :)
