Brief But Strong

Downpour, Imus

It went really dark just an hour past noon, then it started pouring. The rain started with small sprinkles until it drop so strong that it created some mini flood that yes, the kids did enjoy. Taken this afternoon by my college pal and one of my blog's kind correspondents in this Quarantine times, Zarah, she also added that after a few minutes, patrolers went inside their subdivision and the kids went all running back home! With almost every place cemented with concrete, a brief but strong downpour can really flood certain areas in the province, something that rarely happens before when the earth's pores can still breathe without these solid 'foundations'.

  1. When I lived in Los Angeles we didn't get much rain, but when we did it tended to be of the downpour variety. I hated to be driving on the freeway when it happened. Here in the Pacific Northwest it rains alot. That's why we are so green. But the rain tends to be more gentle, the kind you can go out without an umbrella and not get soaked. - Margy

    1. Oh that was scary, especially during long drives. Glad it was the heat of summer when we drove from LA to San Francisco a few years ago. Love your spot on the pacific northwest. The evergreen trees made me so happy like I was on a different world when my friend drove me from the airport to Mill Creek, WA :) Thanks dear Margy!

  6. This is the kind of rain I like, when it stays hot. Here in the mountains it is an event, by 2-3 days of dropping about 10 degrees in temperatures (which I very much dislike). On the day of the rain, it can be a gentle rain or a downpour. But often its a few hours to a day. The next day (s) the temp. goes up again. Thank you for your ever complimenting way of commenting (the Blue and Red Perspective(.
Apropos I linked to Timeless Thursdays, but I will later or tomorrow read your post:)

  16. It looks like we may get your weather today. We did have a fast and furious downpour yesterday (fortunately, not in my basement!) And it has just started again. It's hard to believe that at this time yesterday it was very sunny and warm and now it's very dark and cool wind! Have a lovely weekend!

  17. Gosh it's raining all over the world it seems SQ. It is so nice after the heat, but I can see how a downpour could be a problem if there isn't enough free ground are to absorb it, although there must be drainage points surely. I love that children always find the fun things to do in most situations 😊 Happy weekend ✨

Today has been very warm here and the Scottish aren't used to such high temperatures!
