When all his Male disciples, except John the Beloved, fled at the crucifixion and death of the Lord Jesus, she was the leader of the group of Female disciples who were there up until Christ's burial. She became prominent on the last days of Jesus and accompanied Him during his teachings.
Another famous story of Mary Magdalene is that when Jesus was on his way from one of His preachings, He saw a lady being condemned by the village people and was about to be stoned to death because she was accused of being a sinful prostitute. Jesus then stopped the people and told them, "Whoever believes that they have not sinned ever, you may start throwing the stone on me" then the people started fleeing one by one until it was Jesus and Magdalene left.
Mary Magdalene was the Eleventh on the Good Friday Procession. The Statue is owned by Leonardo Pascual of General Trias, Cavite
