Leave It On The Chair

Waiting for Relief Goods, General Trias

Just like any other country with problems such as poverty and overpopulation, the Philippines and a lot of its residents are very much dependent on the government and help from the more fortunate citizens. And to keep up with social distancing and home quarantine regulations, some families place plastic chairs outside their houses so that at any time a personnel from the Barangay (Philippine basic political area units that makes up a city) comes, they can just leave the relief goods on the chairs. Relief sizes depend on the Barangay so this one was taken from a pretty generous one while some has just given relief once since the lockdown so no need for chairs as such.

No matter where you are, please keep yourselves safe and observing good distances. Our leaders and officials make amends for us but it will always be up to us citizens to flatten the curve. I have heard good news from Australia and New Zealand and how they almost flatten the curve successfully but a little bit if bad news is that the Philippines is now leading with the most number of cases in all 10 South East Asian Nations. Let us not stop praying and doing our part!

  1. Be well, be safe! It is true here as well, the ones who have the least suffer the most. We are living in strange times, but we will get through this eventually.

  2. That is a great idea to leave chairs out for their goods. One day at a time eventually we will get to the finish line and gat some of the restrictions modified.

  3. That's a very good idea -- and the chairs are awfully pretty. I do hope your people will soon be well. We're not through the half of it here, I think. You hear about the big cities but it is now sweeping the rest of the country.
