Lotus Pond

Azienda Verde, Alfonso

Lotus ponds are a great addition to any garden. The lotus is very symbolic especially to Asian cultures and religion as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, and rebirth. It is said to have taken its meaning to its nature that no matter how dirty the water it is growing on, it still produces the most beautiful flower.

I love how this events place in Alfonso took the lotus pond to another level. Instead of small live lotus plants, they made a giant lotus plant box in the middle of it.

  3. Nice Shot of Lotus pond Stevenson. Can I suggest you something this picture is good but a wide angel pic with this pic would have been great where it would have been clearly visible about the surrounding of this Lotus pond, Just a Thought. Have a Nice and Safe day. . . :)

    1. Thank you so much Manav! And thank you so much for your advice and suggestion and I agree. It kinda looks distorted in the way I shot it especially if the pond was my subject. I'll keep that in mind on my next photos and Happy New Week brother :)

  6. That's very beautiful!
I see that there is also a large hall that is used for weddings!
By coincidence I read something about lotus in one of these days. I'll leave you a few trivia about the lotus here:
Sowing the sacred or Indian lotus is not difficult. And as mentioned earlier, the seed of the lotus retains its germination for years, sometimes up to 1,288 years!
The ancient Egyptians were the first to use the lotus in their symbolism. For them, the lotus symbolized rebirth. In addition, the image of a lotus was used for the number 1,000.
The seven chakras are often symbolized by a lotus flower, with each chakra having a different number of petals, as if the flower slowly unfolds its petals towards enlightenment.
I always like to make note to the interesting things, and I hope you will forgive me that I wrote here a few.
I wish you a nice new week!

    1. Ella, those are very interesting trivia you gave us here. Thank you so much for sharing that, it made me know that the lotus also has important symbolism in Egyptian culture. The lotus is really a beautiful flower and is very much revered by a lot of cultures. On a trip to Vietnam, I also once tried Lotus tea and it was a beautiful tea with its own sweetness.

Please dont ask forgiveness for it dear Ella, it is actually very appreciated :) I love trivias so much!

      Happy New week dear Ella!
