Azienda Verde, Alfonso
Lotus ponds are a great addition to any garden. The lotus is very symbolic especially to Asian cultures and religion as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, and rebirth. It is said to have taken its meaning to its nature that no matter how dirty the water it is growing on, it still produces the most beautiful flower.
I love how this events place in Alfonso took the lotus pond to another level. Instead of small live lotus plants, they made a giant lotus plant box in the middle of it.
Gorgeous Lotus pond without the water ~ lovely photo ~ thanks, ~

Thank you so much Carol :) Oh there is water but very very shallow :)
DeleteHappy New Week dear Carol and Zoe :)
...we have a hardy lotus that grows here, but it's not as lovely as those that you are able to grow.
ReplyDeleteOh I am sure those are also beautiful Tom :) Happy New Week there in New York my friend!
DeleteNice Shot of Lotus pond Stevenson. Can I suggest you something this picture is good but a wide angel pic with this pic would have been great where it would have been clearly visible about the surrounding of this Lotus pond, Just a Thought. Have a Nice and Safe day. . . :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Manav! And thank you so much for your advice and suggestion and I agree. It kinda looks distorted in the way I shot it especially if the pond was my subject. I'll keep that in mind on my next photos and Happy New Week brother :)
DeleteNice photo. Quite an idea to create a lotus pond in this manner.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much dear Lili! Some of the interiors and accents of the events place were Indonesian inspired so it was very beautiful!
DeleteThis is beautiful, Stevenson,, and also those tiles!! The whole arrangemnt just made me smile, thank you for that, dear friend.
ReplyDelete:-)
Og Iris you noticed those tiles too! That is actually one of the first things I noticed on the events place. They were so colorful and beautifully detailed! Thank you so much dear Iris!
DeleteThat's very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI see that there is also a large hall that is used for weddings!
By coincidence I read something about lotus in one of these days. I'll leave you a few trivia about the lotus here:
Sowing the sacred or Indian lotus is not difficult. And as mentioned earlier, the seed of the lotus retains its germination for years, sometimes up to 1,288 years!
The ancient Egyptians were the first to use the lotus in their symbolism. For them, the lotus symbolized rebirth. In addition, the image of a lotus was used for the number 1,000.
The seven chakras are often symbolized by a lotus flower, with each chakra having a different number of petals, as if the flower slowly unfolds its petals towards enlightenment.
I always like to make note to the interesting things, and I hope you will forgive me that I wrote here a few.
I wish you a nice new week!
Ella, those are very interesting trivia you gave us here. Thank you so much for sharing that, it made me know that the lotus also has important symbolism in Egyptian culture. The lotus is really a beautiful flower and is very much revered by a lot of cultures. On a trip to Vietnam, I also once tried Lotus tea and it was a beautiful tea with its own sweetness.
DeletePlease dont ask forgiveness for it dear Ella, it is actually very appreciated :) I love trivias so much!
Happy New week dear Ella!

DeleteThis photo is stunning. What a wonderful find and beautifully photographed. I love the "floor" of the pond and the idea of putting the lotus in the middle as a garden is really quite inspired!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jeanie, I love tat you pointed out the floor of the pond because I really love that too! Those detailing and the colors are so inviting (To be honest I really wanted to jump in there)
DeleteOh, I so love the lotus flowers...I have several on my blog. This place is beautiful...

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, my friend!
All my pleasure Bill! It really was my friend with all the plants around it, very serene!
DeleteWow, that is gorgeous. I love to visit gardens and although I don't if is a bigger garden or just the lotus garden, it would be worth a visit just to see this.
ReplyDeleteSame here dear Erika! This lotus garden is beautiful enough but you are right, this events center has a bigger garden on the other side which I really enjoyed too!
DeleteLove the lotus planter box in the middle of the pond, so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much dear Sami! It was a delight for us and the guests as well.
DeleteWhat a beautiful sight SQ, very different from the usual lily pond. The blue tile surround is exquisite, j'adore 💙
ReplyDeleteOui! That blue tile flooring makes me really want to jump on it while I was there especially that the water was so clear (though shallow)
