Meat Section

Meat Section of the Public Market, General Trias

Yes, these stalls are open and they just finished preparing their fresh meat and poultry for today's market day. But as you can see, there's just minimal shoppers looking at their products. Several public markets have imposed their own restrictions and possible solutions on how to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus. Sanitation tents have been placed on the entrance of Tanza's public market, while in General Trias, aside from the same tents raised on the entrance, a rule of 50 shoppers per 30 minutes have been imposed since last week to limit the number of shoppers and not overcrowd the stalls.

We thank these shops for remaining open not really just for business anymore but also to serve as frontliners and provides us all with food security to get through our days living in this hard times. Week 4 of the enhanced community quarantine for Cavite, let us pray harder and follow our government rules and regulations for us to get through this fast.

  2. Hello Stevenson,
These are difficult times for all people and certainly also for entrepreneurs. It is good that they can still sell their goods, but under the current rules to prevent contamination.
Good shot and stay safe!! I wish you all the best.

    Greetings, Marco

  5. Good morning from Michigan. First of all, I want to thank you for your beautiful and very thoughtful comment about my post on Anne Frank and how it connects to our current life situation. It is always nice to meet a new blogger. I was looking down at all your posts and they are fascinating. This one intrigued me as I am interested in how people are getting their food during this time. Those who put their lives on the line to be at the market and bring food to us are everyday heroes. I am a new follower of your blog and look forward to more posts.

    1. Absolutely Bill! As much as we can, it's best to stock a good number of items at home but of course without the panic buying tendencies. Be safe Bill!

  7. I think it was the same everywhere SQ, at first people went into a panic and rushed out to stock up, but now they realise that there is not actually going to be a shortage of food but they just have to shop in a different way. Keep well ✨
