Nipa Jungles, Indang
This photo is not very old, in fact, I took it just 10 years ago with my already digital camera. But I don't know why it just finished this way, and when I saw this on my old files, I thought I'd share it to you all. The town of Indang is located in the upland part of Cavite, and up until now, it has maintained quite a big portion of it's natural rainforest and jungle areas just like this one. Most of them are privately owned and it's very nice that they choose to maintain it's jungle feel even if they build their houses within them.

That looks so thick with foliage...
ReplyDeleteIt does Rose! It's such a haven to be there, truly! But for us who believes in superstitions, it can be quite scary too. We had a very scary experience on that jungle OMG.
Delete...it looks impenetrable.
ReplyDeleteThat is right tom, and the leaves can be a bit itchy haha
DeleteThat is a thick jungle. What kind of animals might live in that jungle? It is really a great photo.
ReplyDeleteOh you are right Erika! they say before there used to live deers in there. But surely snakes thrive in such a jungle like that. Oh and Civet Cats, the one that eats coffee beans and creates Civet Coffee! One of the most expensive coffee in the world
Deletewhether it is rattan, can be used to make crafts ?
ReplyDeleteYou are right! The taller ones are rattan and are made into walling for huts and crafts :)
DeleteSteveson, you make me laugh! "Just 10 years ago", just?! But you are right, time flies. 10 years ago we´ve had it with the landlord (he even searched through the rubbish and told people off for the slightest mistake. Once he rang the doorbell to tell Ingo to move the car 30 centimeters...).
ReplyDeleteWe started looking for a condo around this time. And it feels like we live here since forever...
Very good the people keep the jungle!
Hahahaha now you got me laughing as well! You are right, 10 years is like 35% of my life so it's not a near thing hahahaha. Oh that landlord sounds very tough and quite obnoxious! Good that you guys moved to a new home hahaha
DeleteWhat a fascinating photo Stevenson - love the browns there among the greens. It's always good when native bush/jungle areas are left to be 'natural'.
ReplyDeleteStay safe
Blessings
Maxine
Oh we are the same Maxine! I love the lush when there are dried spots, shows the naturalness of the foliage :)
DeleteIt is a good photo for 10 years ago. You would have been 20 and I was the age you are now! Do you still have that camera? :-D
ReplyDeleteOh you are right! I think it's still here somewhere :) Now I wanna look for it hahaha
DeleteBuenos contrastes en ese entramado de ramas. Seguro que hau mucha serpiente por ahí.
ReplyDeleteCuídate.
Un abrazo.
You are right my friend! I really think there are a LOT of snakes in there and it was scary to go inside the leaves hahaha
DeleteBuena Fin de Semana mi amiga Laura!!! Un grande abrazzo por tu!
It does look like a jungle. You could cool off there on a hot muggy day. Bring a chair, an iced drink and sit back and enjoy the shade. :)
ReplyDeleteOh would love an iced drink right now at 5 am here Bill! It's still dark but the heat is unimaginable! Happy Weekend!
