7 twenty 7 Diner, Kawit
Taken months before the lockdown. I have always been a big fan of All-American Diners that serves almost every comfort food that I have in mind, one of which is this beautiful Diner in the town of Kawit. One cute thing about this place is they have a homemade photobooth (can you see it?) where guests can take their photos and take them home. Not sure if they still have that lately though.
They have almost everything that you can think of that our favorite Hollywood star's characters are ordering on our favorite movies! I love pancakes and I always order that any time of the day! I ordered pancakes here in Kawit, on a diner at Baguio City, and on a diner in Los Angeles! Pancakes are almost synonymous to love for me!
What's your frequent order whenever you hit the Diner?

The most frequent order for me is bacon and eggs, specially at one certain diner. I just love to have someone else fix them for me. Have you ever had crepes? Real thin pancakes...there was a restaurant that used to serve them and put this sweet cream filling in them and roll them up, and top them with strawberries or raspberries! Now I LOVED those. And I will eat regular pancakes sometimes, too, but like the crepes or waffles better...
ReplyDeleteRose, you made me suuuuper hungry! Oh my! Your descriptions are so vivid like I can see it in my mind with every word you say! Oh I do like crepes but I haven't tried ordering them on the Diner and I would have to try that one from there. And you know what, I'll try not to order pancakes next time and opt for crepes or at least for sure they have waffles! Because you are right, I can do those pancakes at home but I can't do crepes, nor do I have a waffle machine ahahha Thanks for that tasty comment dear Rose! Have an awesome Wednesday coming!
DeleteYes! I love pancakes, too bad Kawit is not close by! 😅
ReplyDeleteSame here Ella! Oh if only we can go there both and have pancakes and coffee (Although I think they are also closed now due to the lockdown)
DeleteWe had a diner in the town I grew up in. It is still opersting and is a historical landmark. The food in there was always nice, kind of home cooking variety. It had booths you could sit in or sit on a stool at the counter. The place is an institution. Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteOh Bill! The way you describe it takes me there too! That's also how the Diner I had breakfast on in Washington State. I opted for the bar stool so I can peek on how the waiters add final touches to the food SUPER COOL!
DeleteHave an awesome Wednesday ahead Bill!
Definitely breakfast food. Pancakes and a chili cheese omelette. Oh I do miss going out for breakfast at the local diner. And what do you use on pancakes? Jam, maple syrup, powdered sugar? Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteOh Erika! Chili Cheese Omelete sounds amazing! Haven;t tried that yet but I'll look for recipes.
DeleteOh when at a Diner I top it with Maple Syrup and Butter. But at home, it's a weird way but delicious. I use table sugar, butter and they I add fresh milk! it swims but its super good! hahaha Hugs to you dear friend Erika!
That is a very cute idea with the booth!
ReplyDeleteGermany goes crazy, though. You HAVE TO take a booth a the office to get your pic taken for documents as you can "photoshop" your pic otherwise.
Weeee, they run crazy here.
LOL, Stevenson, you might think, what?! I think I never had a real pancake. A homemade one we tried once. My sweet tooth was asleep, as usual.
We have Homer Simpson as pan cake maker and plan to do a "herby" one.
Sadly we don´t have diners like that.
We have Burgerista and hmmm, burger :-)
I also love Subway.
Great, thanks, dear friend, now I´m hungry! ;-)
Oh Iris! I think I know what that booth looks like! Because when I applied for a Schengen Visa last December, the consul agents said I brought the wrong photos so I had to take one on the booth then I saw it! OMG it looks vintage! But super cool although I look like trash on that photo so yah, I look like trash on my Visa HAHA
DeleteOMG! You should try it at home dear Iris! It can be paired with bacons and sausages (Use it instead of bread as sandwich) if your sweettooth is still on vacation :)
OMG! That Burgerista place looks so amazing! I Love the high chairs and all those condiments!!! And yes, Subway will never go out of style! I love eating cold subway!!!
Stevenson, show me anyone who does not look like trash on such pics and I owe you a burger! ;-)
DeleteYes, cheese and bacon comes to mind, herbs...
Sadly Hubby hates Burgerista as there are too many spoiled, LOUD kids. Dunno, as kid I never had so much money to dine out with friends... did you?
Nahhhh, These days they don´t even ask you, Subway gets in the oven, and I love that :-)
OHHH MYYY IRIS! We have observed the same exact thing! When me and my friends would go out when we were younger, we never get to go far because we had limited money. but now, I see Junior High School kids having friends time in Starbucks! I was like! Wow! These kids are rich! I would have to not spend for a week just to buy a grande for myself if that was the case before!
DeleteOh those Loud Kids HAHAHAHAHA I also no that here!!! (A bit guilty though on being loud when with friends HAHA but not the screaming kind) HAHAHAHA
Depending on time of day either breakfast or a burger!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie, I would love both (on a same meal) ughhh explains how big I am hahaha Happy Wednesday Jackie!
DeleteI also like the classic diners. My typical order is a cheeseburger and malted milk.
ReplyDeleteHello Taken For Granted, welcome to my Cavite Daily Photo! I looove cheeseburgers with lots of mayo and ketchup. I haven't tasted malted milk yet but it sounds comforting.
DeleteThe diner does have the American style. I love pancakes, the sweet kind of course :)
ReplyDeleteThe photo booth is a nice touch. Hope you get to enjoy your pancakes again very soon Stevenson.
Thank you very much Sami! I actually made one last night right after I posted this one HAHAHA But you are right, it feels extra tasty while eating those that are from the Diner haha Happy Thursday Sami!
DeleteI agree with Jackie's comment, it is breakfast (bacon/eggs) or a burger for me. I haven't been to a diner in a while, but I love them.
ReplyDeleteMichelle I also love breakfast meals super much too!(even on restaurants and even though in the evenings HAHA)
Delete...I'm a pancake fan too in Maui I enjoy banana pancakes! The colors and design of this place are what I would expect to see here. Thanks Stevenson for stopping by, bon appetit.
ReplyDeleteWe have lots of Bananas here Tom but I've never tried Banana Pancakes. haha I shiuld give that one a try :) no thank YOU Tom! Hope to join again next week :)
DeleteThis is really cute. I know I would love dining at this fun spot! How cheerful -- it's a terrific photo.
ReplyDeleteTruly it is cheerful Jeanie! Especially inside where they play beautiful 50's music usually :)
DeleteMy pick for diner is either Hashbrowns, eggs and toast or hamburger with lots of tomatoes. YUM! You made me very hungry. Thank goodness it is dinner time here
ReplyDeleteMB
Oh MB! you got me at hashbrowns! I so want one now!!! hahaha Thank you so much for dropping by :)
DeleteBright and colourful.
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much Jim! Happy Weekend there in AU!
