Desert Rose, General Trias
Two months have passed for most countries who were placed on their own different versions of the lockdown. Some had succeeded in flattening their nation's curves, and for some, like us Filipinos, are still far away from it. But the Enhanced Community Quarantine that we are under in will expire this May 14th, it is said that the President will decide by tomorrow if we are still to continue or move to a lighter version or GCQ - General Community Quarantine. If I may give my opinion, we are still very much unsafe to go back to the old normal and if it's the citizen's health will be the priority, we still need the strict lockdown. The problem is, even if we are in a lockdown, I cannot see any mitigation plan aside from it that can really produce a big leap in flattening the curve.
So for now, as we wait, let me share this beautiful flower. One of the beautiful things I fail to see when we were still in the older world that we used to be in.
Olá Stevenson.
ReplyDeleteOs dias estão tristes.
Mas, à que ter esperança.
Vamos tudo ultrapassar e voltar a amar.
Mesmo que de uma forma diferente.
Mais vivos.
Um abraço.

beautiful words my dear friend Megy! That is very true, it may never be the same again but who knows, maybe it will be even better :) Hope should always prevail!
DeleteBig Hug from the Philippines!

Thank you so much dear Carol! Those pink blossoms cheer me up :)
DeleteSuper thanks Carol! I really am craving for the sea! So as a lot of my friends too!
...our mission has always been to find beauty in the most unlikely things and that is more true at this moment.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely true Tom! And it really is all about perception and optimism! Thank you so much my friend Tom!
DeleteThis is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Rose!
DeleteDon't you just love how Nature blooms so beautifully wherever it is placed, totally regardless of what is happening all around it :)
ReplyDeleteAmen to that Margaret! We ar every blessed to have plants in our home which gives us so much hope and happiness no matter what is happening outside us!
DeleteIt is a beautiful flower. And you are right. In this new world we have slowed down enough to be able to see all kinds of wonderful and beautiful things we would have missed. Thanks for sharing. HAppy new week.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words, thank you so much dear Erika! Happy New Week!
DeleteIt´s difficult times, Stevenson, I agree.
ReplyDeleteBut I do think - if we have our brains working, keep a proper distance, we should go out!
You have your garden at least to catch some sun, which is so important.
Icky weather here, 6C, but I have to go to the bakery, and I look forward to it. A good, long walk, like every Monday just makes me feel better!
I´ll have a look if the Botanical Garden is open - though in this grey soup it makes no sense? Let´s see.
Life has to go back to normal. Economy is going down. People loose out, some big.
Are you really locked in, can you not take your bike and fly away, far away from others? I hope, dear friend, you can put on a mask and wheeeeeee, have some fun!
Oh iris, if only you can give me a few Celsius here so we can warm up the weather there and add some cool here to save us from this oven called the Philippines. Botanical garden sounds amazing my friend! I really hope you get to be in beautiful flowers and plants soon! Oh yes, I am locked in and only one member per family is allowed to go outside which in our case my brother because he has to go to church so he also buys our supplies, thankful to him so much! But it is said that our lockdown will be lifted by the end of the week (not really because of the improving of the cases but for the businesses) so I still hope our company will continue to allow us to work from home.
DeleteSending hugs Iris!
I agree Stevenson, we are now observing things around us that we didn't notice before.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter was telling me yesterday that things weren't any better there and quarentine was still to last for a while probably. Luckily here in our State of Western Australia, only 3 people in hospital at the moment, only 1 in Intensive care, so our restrictions have been relaxed and there will be less and less restrictions in the weeks to come. Hopefully this will last!
Oh Sami, with just three people in the hospital for such a big state is such a beautiful thing. I pray for those three to soon recover and that this peace in your state last a long time! There have been news that the quaratine will be lifted in our province and so as in your daughter's (I believe she live sin our neighboring Batangas?) and only Manila, Cebu and our neighboring Laguna will be left at ECQ.
DeleteI hope the government will do decisions for the welfare of everybody and not just the selected few just for the sake of their profit.
Stay Safe Sami!
It is a beautiful bloom SQ 🌸 It really is a worry about when and how much to relax the prevention rules. Hopefully your government will make the right decision. I guess you can also make your own decision on when you feel safe to get out there, take care ✨
ReplyDeleteYou said it perfectly Grace! I just really hope my company will continue to let us work from home (Since we can deliver the same productivity or even more, even without leaving the house) because if the lockdown will be lifted by Firday, I still have no plans of going outside because it's obviously not yet safe!
DeleteThanks for your visit and comments on Aww Mondays ~ She is a cutie ~ thanks and she loved your hug ~ hugs to you too ^_^

Oh thank you so much for extending my hugs to Miss Zoe! Thank you so much Carol! Happy Monday to you two!
DeleteI am sure that your Government will make a decision soon. Of necessity this is bound to be one that is made with the utmost care and timing so as to get it right. Stay safe my friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much my friend Phil! Perfect timing with your thoughts, our President announced this morning that the lockdown will end this week. It's very scary because the numbers are still at its peak! His priority though are the businesses. I hope everyone will still stay at home but everyone will be working again.
DeleteVery nice bloom!
ReplyDeleteThe Netherlands is partly out of the lockdown, we can go to the hairdresser and, start with 1 june to the terrace drink a beer! Cheers! LOL
Thank you so much Ella! We still have a liquor Ban despite the lockdown being lifted this week. Please have a bottle of Heineken for me on June 4th, my 30th birthday :) Happy Tuesday Ella!
DeleteThere is so much beauty right in front of our eyes. We just have to look, enjoy and of course take a photo. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful new week, Stevenson.
Amen to that Bill! Take a photo and share it to all of you my dear friends! Great Tuesday to you my friend Bill!
DeleteThis is a lovely photo. Our lockdown is modifying, slowly opening things up. Too slowly for the protestors but I think their agenda goes beyond the covid. I hope however they do it, you will find ways to be safe.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! The protesters, no matter how much they get what they won;t, they just can't seem to be satisfied right?
