No To Mining In Palawan

No To Mining In Palawan

This is me and my dad two years ago along the entrance to the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River in Palawan, the Most Beutiful Place I have ever been to!

I was never fond of posting Non-Cavite Photos and Stories here at Cavite Daily Photo but I really really feel I should do this. Palawan has been famous around the world through its Natural Beauty and its ecosystem that is truly one of the richest around the world. Even the Natural Wonders of the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River, is located on it's heart, and the colorful Tubbataha Reef spreads across the waters of the Island Province.

But today, all these wonderful sights and sounds are in the grieve danger of being just a was. Something that will just be on Photos and Videos, something good that will just be a memory, because of the threat of Mining. Mining that damages all the beautiful mountains, poisons its waters, and kills its people. But it is never too late if we work altogether to stop these greedy monsters from exploiting these natural treasures.

I have never in my life seen such green mountains, towering limestone karsts, beautiful smiles and the Freshest Seafood since being in Palawan. I just hope ou can all help me, help Palawan, Help ourselves to Save Palawan! To the Filipinos who will be directly harmed if we don't unite ourselves to save our country from thorough devastation, This is our chance, let our voices be heard! And to all our brothers and Sisters from all Nations, Palawan is just waiting for all of you to be seen and discovered. You can help us save the Province and you can help yourselves by doing a favor to save something you should visit and see with your eyes!

NO TO MINING IN PALAWAN!

The Dragon that Captured my Heart

February 14, 2010
Photo Shot earlier at 9:40 We were at Binondo, Manila the Whole day to celebrate the Chinese New Year! It was loads of fun and Dragon dances here and there! But the one that captured my heart are these children playing along with a carton and one of them was beating the can, their drum. I was really awed by the creativity of these Kids that no matter what, they can always have all the fun they want! As I was shooting them, One of them saw me and they stopped because they were just really playing around! But eventually, they continued as we left their street! I was really amazed not just how resourceful they are but they really perform like professionals on that very street! The beating was perfect, actually better than some Dragon Dancers we saw the whole day! This very Moment touched my heart and gave me hope that youth from my country, despite the poverty and all other aspects of crisis, can still have all the abilities to dream and act their dreams for success for themselves and I hope, for the world as well. Kung Hei Fat Choi to all my Fellow Chinese-Filipinos and to each and every Chinese around the world! May we have a Great Year ahead! Also, Happy Valentines Friends! Continue touching hearts! I just want to greet my friend Hilda of My Manila for including me and my blog on one of her posts! It really meant a lot my friend! I LOVE MANILA! WE ALL DO! Forgive me everybody for my week-long absence, Midterms passed by. God Bless us all

Everyone has their time. For me, This is it!

February 3, 2010

This is the second time in Cavite Daily Photo that I have featured Yours Truly. This is it, the moment I have been dreaming all my life, Me on a Black Toga, Graduation Picture. After four long years in the University, I am about to receive my Bachelor's Degree in less than two months. Me and my Classmates were very excited and truly emotional as we received our Graduation Photo Packages earlier at school. I nearly cried of so much Joy in my heart!

I thank God so much for giving me an opportunity to have parents and grandparents that supported my education from Kindergarten up to College. Also, without all my friends and all the people that believed in me, I will not be able to attain everything that I have right now, including you my fellow Bloggers, you made my College life fun. You gave me a way to get out of everything and immerse myself from scenes you deliver on my desktop!

I know this time means goodbye to schooling but I will forever be learning all of the lessons that life is to offer me. I am very proud of what I have accomplished, passed my course with flying colors and not being what a typical college student. Now, I want to extend all my gratitude to each and everyone of you. And I am hoping that you would continue supporting me in my journey of life.

CONGRATULATIONS BATCH 2010! THIS IS OUR TIME :D

In the Sky-Watch Friday

October 17, 2008

Photo Shot Yesterday at 17:05

This is one special Skywatch Post for me because I shot it while I was a part of the Sky Yesterday. I shot this from a Gondola while I was about halfway down the Wheel of Fate, the Ferris Wheel at Enchanted Kingdom. In here, You can see the Homes and buildings around the city of Santa Rosa, a part of Laguna de Bay which is the Largest Lake in the Philippines and the mountainous parts of Laguna-Rizal.

This is my second time to ride a ferris wheel because I am not that daring before as I am now. This was truly a liberating experience especially while the wheel is doing its fast rotation and you can truly feel the air rushing through you and a mixture of nerves and pure joy can be felt from the heart. I even video called my mom and my brother while I was in the ride to show them how beautiful the view is.

I want to thank god for stopping the rain yesterday and gave us a very unforgettable experience and I hope on our next trip next week to Corregidor, the weather would be as perfect as it was because that would be a great trip with my high school friends that I haven't been with for quite a while! Hope the trip would come true and that it would be a great one as well!

Check out other bloggers around the world and see how special their skywtch photos are to them too! Just go to http://skyley.blogspot.com

September Theme - Sister City

Cavite City, Philippines : San Diego, California
Having read the Theme for this month weeks ago, I was thrilled by it! Knowing that the Sister City of Cavite City is San Diego, CA! I was so relieved because my older brother, Nik, is living almost all his life at San Diego! So I decided to join and sign up!
One of my most visited site on the web is wikipedia and most of my views relate to Geography because it is my passion. So a topic I have learned there are about sister cities! Cities that are rlated to each other in many ways. Cavite City have two sister Cities, Tainan in Taiwan and I have been lucky that I have been to one of them, San Diego when I was still young. As I can remember, Aside from the weather, it is very closely like Cavite City with the Sea-side feel of it and the diciplined people.
I asked my brother two days ago for photos shot by him of San Diego. He is also a photo enthusiast! He doesn't just have a better camera than I do but he is very gifted in this thing. He is a very talented person and we are so proud of him! His last trip home was last Christmas and we miss him so much! Kuya, we miss you so much and I'm waiting for your next trip home! I hope you can take me there agian! Make sure you do check out other participants by clicking the links below! Here are the photos:

18 years came and gone

June 4, 2008

Photo Exactly shot at 18:00

Well, Eighteen years it has been! The whole day was really great! Not that fun but great because as I went to church in the morning by myself, I somewhat cried because I feel so happy. i don't know what the reason is in particular but I really thanked God for the joy I felt those times. Then as hours passed, hundreds of Text messages, several Birthday Greeting comments at friendster, I became so sad during the afternoon. Because the thing that my parents promised me that we would get this day has been, again, unreal.

I'm not a spoiled brat and I never ask for things just like many other kids. All I ask are things that i really need and can't afford by myself. So I really put my very last trust on them, not actually the very last, I am a very hopeful person, but then again, i was down. I can't do anything else but to just let it go. Nothing will happen if ever I wreck myself. So I just bought a lot of cupcakes and took pictures of it!

To everyone who greeted me, Thank you so so so much for it. Though you may be hundreds, each and every reply I gave everyone was from the bottom of my heart. I really appreciate it. I am so lucky that I am a very appreciative and grateful person because even simple thoughtfulness I've seen, it really is a source of my deep joy and happiness. Those many little joys can really do me good for a very long time, a lifetime I bet.
