Late Bloomer

Cattleya Buds, General Trias

Ever since this Cattleya plant was given to me two years ago by a friend at work, it never produced its flower. But a few days ago while watering them, I saw some buds and now they look like they are about to bloom any day of this week! This lockdown may be very sad but the attention we give to plants do reward us with positive energy and deep joy.

I was super happy to see that it's about to bloom. Sometimes, God and time teaches us that some things need more amounts of patience and perseverance. Because if you don't give up trying and waiting for something better, while doing your best at where you are at the moment, there will always be a beautiful reward, even at times when you least expect it to happen!

Do you know that the botanical name refers to the Englishman William Cattley, an orchid collector?

    1. Thank you very much dear Carol! That rain really was a delight! It may not have cooled the weather much but we are all so happy that the crops and rivers do need them a lot, plus it can help cleanse the streets from any viral traces.

Happy Mother's Day to you Carol as well! Thank you for being a great mom to Miss Zoe and to all of us who are nurtured by your posts and words!
