Burger King, Kawit
"Please Stay Inside Your Vehicles At All Times" says a Sign on the Burger King drive-thru that me and my sister got our favorite four cheese Whoppers from. This was taken two days ago when I decided to go outside when she asked me if I want to and I got the courage to say yes. Aside from masks and distancing, most drive-thrus here asks customers to drop their bills and coins on a basket instead of handing it by the palms to the attendant.
This post is part of My Corner of the World and my friend Tom's Signs 2.
My friend. You need some cookery lessons. LoL. I'm sure your sister was pleased but imagine her reaction if you had said, " come dearest sister I have made you the best four cheese burger ever". Just kidding.
ReplyDeleteHello my friend Phil! Hahaha She will surely be shocked!!! I do know how to cook but I have never tried making burgers from scratch hahaha If I try that my friend, I nee dto do lots of extras for myself too HAHA

ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday Regine :)
DeleteHere, sometimes they wear the little plastic gloves to take your money or credit card, sometimes they used to have us put our own credit card in.
ReplyDeleteHamburgers are easy...you could make your own easily.
That sounds a better precaution Rose, both for the driver and for the store crew.
DeleteOh you are right dear Rose but there's just something about the patties on Burger King that is just so good! HAHA
Hugs dearest Rose and Happy Wednesday!
Good on you, dear Stevenson, to go out.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how strict it all is in your country. If I wanted to I could go to Austria, France, Switzerland, restaurants open, in fact my T asked me to have lunch with him tomorrow as he´s working in town. I´ll wear a mask and see what happens.
But your country still has code orange and reckon lille Corinna will be stuck for some more time here... She looks so sad, sitting here by my PC, waiting for better news! Even Ingo starts giving her sad looks, "you´re STILL here?!" ;-)
Keep on going out, dear Stevenson, keep the distance, wash your hands and don´t go nuts in the house!
Oh Dearest iris thank you so much for your kind advise and I will definitely follow that again in the coming days, though just this Monday, we were advised to stay indoors again strictly because our baranggay (A baranggay is a smaller sub-division of the city, ours is a very small baranggay of just around 300+ people) had reported 3 new active cases. It's very dangerous to go outside but after a couple of weeks, hopefully I can go outside to at least take a walk with distancing and a mask.
DeleteOh you make me so excited with your lunch with your T! I am sure it will be fun, I hope you can go, I really love reunions! And it's very sad to hear about lille Corinna :( But I can wait with a patient smile, waiting makes everything sweeter :) But please send my hugs to lille Corinna :) Hope you and Ingo will have an awesome Wednesday today!
Oh, boy, Stevenson, that is really bad in your place!
DeleteThe same happened in Berlin yesterday, some parts of town are closed due to new cases. At least you have your garden... To a great Wednesday, as great as it can get...
That is very true! Thanks to my garden I can get even at least a little bit walking. But I need to be creative and also use the steps so it will also help my knees who seems to be aching due to inactivity too huhu.
DeleteCheers to Wednesdays Iris!

That is very true my friend! Please stay safe Francisco!
Delete...here the drive thorough of the curbside pickup at restaurants only want credit cards, cash is no longer king!!! Thanks for the visit, take care!
ReplyDeleteThat is very much better, the pick-up at the curbside. Here no dine-ins but they still let people line up which I think is quite scary still. All my pleasure Tom, take care my friend!
DeleteBetter safe than sorry!
ReplyDeleteThat is very true Magiceye! It's a big motto for me especially these days
DeleteIn Australia people avoided paying with cash and banks raised limits on credit card payments so people didn't have to put their pins in it was just tap and pay.
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you ventured outdoors with your sister Stevenson. Keep well
That sounds like a good idea to promote distancing and reduce contact! Thanks so much Sami and hope you have a great Thursday!
DeleteAfter being so brave I hope you enjoyed your burgers SQ. Here we are encouraged to use cards instead of cash.. even for a cup of coffee, which I would never usually do š
ReplyDeleteThank ou so much dear Grace! Oh how I wish we are all as advanced as AU :( There are still a lot of establishments that do not accept cards, well mainly because there's just a small fraction of citizens that owns one. Sending you hugs!
DeleteThat seems very wise and sensible at the Burger King and handing the money over too.
ReplyDeleteThat is very true Jeanie! Smart and safe move :)
DeleteDidn't know they made 4 cheese whoppers now. I haven't been to a BK in years.
ReplyDeleteThey do here Bill! It was supposed to be a special offer efore but then the reception was huge I think so they made it a staple :)
DeleteGood one.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jim :)
DeleteFour cheese ~ they must be yummy ~ neat photo ~ Glad your sister got you out ~

That is very true Carol! It was a treat for me, though yes, got me paranoid at the same time after 90 days haha
DeleteSuch a familiar sight! Our drive thrus also have the credit/debit card boxes outside to encourage touchless payments.
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome to see you at 'My Corner of the World' this week! Thanks for linking up.
That is a good practice in this new normal that we should also adapt here in our country. It's sad though that only a few people have cards though but there are emerging modes of payments like barcode loading :)
DeleteI know I found it almost scary to go out after 6 weeks - it must have seemed such a huge step after a much longer time - glad you got to sample one of your favourites! The changes that you are seeing now are likely to continue, like the change into a basket - way more hygienic!.
ReplyDeleteStay safe
Blessings
Maxine
You got that right Maxine! I just hope there will be more access for us here and stores as well to cashless transactions :)
DeleteHappy Thursday Maxine! Weekend's coming soon :)
Good idea with the basket. A lot of places are open for drive through now, over here. They have gloves and masks on.
ReplyDeleteI think it is good, as people can distance in their car! And no harm in going out for a burger or coffee. I do miss going out and popping into some place for a coffee though. :-D
That is very good, as long as they have precautions as masks and gloves, that is the best way. We are also on a distance, me and my sister. I did not sit in front so I was in the back and she was driving haha
