Honor To Us All

November 3, 2010
Photo above was taken during our All Saint's Day celebration last November 1st.

This is where the body of my Grandfather lies at Saint Francis of Assisi Memorial Park here at General Trias, Cavite. I have posted a little about him last January on my post A Great Man Named Sam .

Every November 1st, Filipinos flock to their Loved Ones's Cemeteries and Memorial Parks to Celebrate All Saint's Day. Every Niche becomes a place where Families, other even go home from abroad, to reunite with each other. Each of their own places are placed with typical Flowers and Candles to Honor their Ancestors. But for us Chinese Families, we never ran out of fruits and other food items as offerings to our Ancestors. So in lieu of the Flowers, we used these fruits such as Grapes, Apples and our Native Lanzones as decorations. All the people passing by our place at the Park can't help but stop and stare at my Lolo's Niche. Different Decorations, Different Styles, One Reason, to honor our Loved Ones the Filipino Way.

My Grandfather, Que Chua Le or Sam Tan in Filipino, was born in Fujian Province, People's Republic of China. He left his country while he was still a teenager and went to the Philippines to try his life here in the mid 1930's. He tried so hard in his early years in the Philippines just like his fellow Chinese Nationals who came here. He met my Grandmother Genoveva, now of good health at the age of 82, while they are still very young and they decided to start a family together. They had Seven Children, Gaudencio, Josefina, Carlito, Elenita, my father Ernesto, Benjamin, and Evangelina. They all have their own Chinese names but being born in the Philippines, they all use their Hispanic Christian names.

They strive so hard to get the life that we enjoy right now. All of these are fruits from all of their labor and I am truly proud of my Lolo and Lola, Grandma and Grandpa in Filipino. If I have to live my life again, I would definitely ask the Lord for one single thing, and that is to be their Grandson! Lolo Sam and Lola Bebang will always bring Honor To Us All.

It's Punky Night Tonight

November 2, 2010

These kids really did "Meet for trick or Treat" last night at the Memorial Park. They were roving from niche to niche and asking for some goodies from families that are spending time along the Cemetery to commemorate their deceased loved ones.

Popular in the US, Trick or Treat is usually done during the Night of the Halloween or according to "The Worst Witch" One of my Childhood Favorite TV Series, during Punky Night. It is now slowly practiced by the kids here in the Philippines as well but of course, in Philippine Culture, the main event always happen during November 1st or during the All Saint's Day which I'll be talking about on tomorrow's post!

It's a bit of a shame because my Blog is titled 'Daily' but I'm still very proud that after more than 2 years, Cavite Daily Photo has just Celebrated it's 150th post last October 29th (my last post) Congratulations to me, to this Blog and most of all, Congratulations to all my supporters because together, we all reached our 150th post! To all my City Daily Photo Bloging friends, without you and your encouragements, Cavite Daily Photo would never have lasted 50 posts, You are all my inspiration!

Feast Day of Saint Jude Thaddeus

October 29, 2010

Photo Shot last Night at the Saint Jude Thaddeus Annual Procession

Saint Jude Thaddeus is the Patron saint of Trece Martirez City, the Capital of the Province of Cavite and also, the Patron Saint of our Family. It is our Family's devotion, especially my Brother, to lead on the annual Celebration of Saint Jude's Feast. A 9-Day Novena is celebrated every morning from the 20th of October until the Feast Day on the 28th where a Town Procession of the Saint is held around the Town Proper of General Trias.

As we all know, Cavite is full of Catholic Christian Traditions and one important tradition is the Procession of Saints that are held every Town Fiesta and during the Feast of important Saints. It is always a good sight every night with all the lines of people with candles but it is best to be part of the Procession and Pray for your Intentions to Saint Jude and to our Lord Jesus Christ

September Skies simply are my Favorite

September 10, 2010

Photo shot at Sunset last Tuesday Afternoon

Since I have started Cavite Daily Photo, I have always been more and more curious and much more sensitive to the scenes around me especially with Nature and the Environment. One thing I have learned is that Sunsets are truly best viewed here in the Philippines during months of March and September. During these Months, Skies are not just Fiery, they're painted with Amazing Indigos and Striking Magentas to Bright Stunning Tangerines.

Just like the photo above, Who would not want to just stare at the sky, Thank God for the Beauty of our World, and Pray that a lot of other people are currently setting their eyes on what you are experiencing at that very moment!

I'm that if you adored my photo above, you would want to see other beautiful views of the skies around the Globe right? So just click on the Skywatch Friday Link : http://www.skyley.blogspot.com/ and you surely are bound to a Sky World Tour.

Saint Agustine Parish

September 5, 2010

Beautiful Brick colored walls make up this newly renovated Saint Agustine Parish at Mendez, Cavite. Mendez is a Town located at the Upland Region of Cavite. Just beside Tagaytay City, it enjoys a cool climate all year round. People are truly friendly and very welcoming just like what real Caviteños are.

The roads on this Town are very narrow but they are asphalt paved and very nice to all types of vehicles. Its cleanliness is also commended by locals from other Towns and even tourists that pass by the Town.

It's so nice to be back at Daily Photo Blogging! Been busy with the Students and the past Midterm Examinations. But I'm here! And After 2 years since Cavite Daily Photo Began at May 5, 2008 here at Blogger, I now have a new Blog Template/Layout. I hope everybody will have a great Week ahead.

Hazy Skies on Farmville

August 2, 2010
Photo shot about a month ago at Ilog Maria Farms, Silang, Cavite

I Love Windmills! This one was shot at Ilog Maria Bee Farms at Silang, Cavite, One of the highland towns in the Province. It was very Hazy that day and on that very moment, the rain is about to start. It has been very rainy this past month here in the Philippines and even a storm came by to whack the Country. It was one of the strongest Storms I experienced though it only lasted for a few hours starting midnight, the winds were really really strong! My Windows kept banging and banging and I can't sleep out of worry. Even my Bamboo garden was not exempted! Though as to every Filipino, these problems are just worth a smile. We are all born with Sunshine on our Lips :)

I would also like to Thank each and every one for all those Wonderful comments on my Latest Theme Day Post Yesterday! I was truly touched by all your kind words and I felt really welcome even if my posting has been on and off! Hope this would mark up a new beginning to a routine of Daily Photo Posting! God Bless us all!

VIVA ESPAÑA!

July 12, 2010

Photo Above shows my very own Spanish National Football Team Gear. One of my possessed Treasures.

First Of all, I would Love to shout what I have been shouting for almost a month now from the Very Beginning of the World Cup 2010, VIVA ESPAÑA! I will always be Spain's Number One fan here in the Philippines because honestly, They are the reason why I started watching Football a few couple of years ago and they're the reason why I love the Game! Just seeing David Villa and his goals makes my whole week!

If there is one single country in the world that can be named where football is not a Frenzy, that would be the Philippines. We Have a lot of sports fancied here including Basketball and most Especially where we can truly be proud of, Boxing! But Football is never a statement here in our Country but I am quite happy that this past year, Football is starting to have a name!

I've been a fan of the Spanish Team for more than a Year now and I am really really Happy about them winning this World Cup! My friends are even teasing me that Spain would never even advance to the Top 16 but my beliefs with my team can never be hindered! I'm in love with the Team I must Say! Every time they have a match, I never ever watched it live because I thought I might give them Bad Luck so I always watch it after the results are aired! Win after win after win makes me so proud! Even my Co-Teachers (Yes, I am now a Professor at DLSU-D, My Alma Mater) are telling Spain is no match to Germany during their Semis and when Spain won, The smile on my face can never be worn out because of so much Joy! Even one of them kept on telling me it was just Plain Luck! But I know It's not! Spain has always been laying as a TEAM! A team focused on bringing joy and pride to their country and all their fans!

But this very last match against the Netherlands, Here's my story. The match happened at 2:30 am Philippine Time so I decided not to watch it (just as I said earlier that I might give bad luck to my team). Then I woke up at around 4:30 believing that the match is over. Then I excitedly Opened my Phone and checked on the results but our WiFi was not in a good mood so Luckily, I still have some Prepaid Load left that I used to check on the results. There it is, 0:0. I was wondering still who won so I went on to Yahoo! But still it's 0:0! So I came to think that the match may not have ended yet and at the blink of the eye, my phone refreshed on it's own and it read 1:0 in favor of ESPAÑA! I wanted to shout so loud but the people in our house might get awake so I went out and there I shouted! Hahaha Then I thought that it was Minute 116 and there's just 4 minutes left! I started to think That I WAS THE GOOD LUCK during this match that at the very moment I checked on the scores, Iniesta did his Winning Goal! The Joy I'm feeling right now for my Team will never be expired for the whole week or the whole month I guess! This is Spain's very First Title and I really feel Proud that I'm quite a part of it staying true to them and believing in them for every match they fought!

VIVA ESPAÑA! SOY MUY ORGULLOSO POR MI EQUIPO! POR NUESTRO EQUIPO!!! EL EQUIPO DE ESPAÑA ES LOS MEJORES DEL MUNDO!!!

In Lieu of the new Prefix to my Age

June 5, 2010

Photo was taken yesterday on my Birthday Celebration at Tagaytay City, One of my Favorite Places in the world! We went for Dinner at Tootsie's Tagaytay where you can see their Specialty, Lengua. Lengua is a Classic Filipino Dish, of course from Spanish Traces which is made of Tenderized, and I do mean TENDER, Ox's Tongue. It is my favorite dish so what else to order than the Classic Lengua. What made their Lengua different from the other is the addition of Green and Black Olives and I can really taste the Garlic without its much strength! To top it all off, It was delish. Go and Try Tootsie's Tagaytay and Before you take a glance at their Menu, tell the kind waiter's the magic word, LENGUA!

Now We go to the post's Title. It was my 20th Birthday yesterday! It was really fun! I got to Dine out with Mom, Dad and Cousin Judy and it was very great! We are natural gourmands and we always love trying all kinds of foods no matter the price or the looks, for us, Food is not just a means of survival nor a lifestyle, it's Art! We never Eat, We Dine...

From the Bottom of my heart, and in behalf of Cavite Daily Photo, Thank you all so much for being a great part of my first 20 years! I am much looking forward for a lot more years and a lot more friendships I made through this Blog! You are all the Life of this Project! God Bless us all!

Inside the Imus Cathedral

May 24, 2010

It was a very sunny day when we went to the Imus Cathedral at Imus, Cavite. When you get inside the Cathedral, the first thing you will notice is the Dark-Ages France style designs on the upper parts of the walls and the trusses up until the altar. Upon the walls are embossed Latin words which are important to the teachings of the Catholic Church.

The whole of Cavite is under the Diocese of Imus. The Diocese was canonically erected on April 1962. The Imus Cathedral or the Cathedral Parish of Our Lady of the Pillar serves as the seat of the diocese.

In 2011, the Diocese of Imus will celebrate their Golden Jubilee as diocese since their establishment in 1961.

By the way, To all Survivor Fans out there, I've been listing down my Top 20 Favorite Castaways of all time. Mind if you drop by my other blog to check it out? Thanks :D See yah at http://justme-nothingelse.blogspot.com/

A cozy place ... to DINE

May 23, 2010

Yup Everyone, To Dine! This photo was shot just a few hours ago at Bag of Beans in Tagaytay City. It's a classy restaurant that has different kinds of seats! Some are on the cabana like huts where a small family could fit and they also have these cozy seats where you feel like you are dining on the comforts of your living room! But the best part of it, The food was spectacular!

Next time you passed by Tagaytay, I'm recommending everyone to try Bag of Beans! Your try will make you plan for your next visits!

Lucy in the Sky with a Diamond

May 17, 2010

Photo taken last Night at Baligarden, Bacoor, Cavite at 7:24 in the evening

As you can see, Lucy in the Moon shun her beautiful light with a beautiful Diamond named Venus. It was seen for almost an hour flickering along the sky like a Beautiful Golden Diamond Ring. Everyone was delighted. The view was seen all over the Philippines and neighboring nations on South East Asia.

People have many Superstitions about this Natural Phenomenon but most of those were of Good Luck that the Country will receive especially after the Election Period just this week. Well, I just hope that really is what it meant because our Country really needs it right now.

My First Election is not just Mine

May 10, 2010

It was 7 30 in the morning when we arrived on our Voting Precincts and people are already in line. But I got inside the Precinct at around 9 30 due to the long line and the Lane of the Senior Citizens which is of course, a very good idea so that the elderly will be given priority. Right now, Clustered Precincts are observed due to minimal number of the Machines used. But I am sure with much order, anything can be done tolerably.

By the Way, the 2010 Philippine Presidential Elections, which is held today, is very historical since it is the first time that the COMELEC imposed the Automated Elections, a big leap from the primitive Manual Elections that takes almost 2 weeks or more to gather all the results. But using this new Technology, by Eleven in the Evening later, The results of the Local Elections will be published while the National Positions will be completed by tomorrow.

Right now, a lot of people are still in line due to the poor records checking since that part is still done manually. While the Voting Proper and the counting is fully Automated already and is very efficient! All we have to do right now is pray that this Election will be Peaceful, Accurate and an Honest one! GOD BLESS THE PHILIPPINES!!!

Election 2010

May 9, 2010

The photo above was shot last February 5, 2010 on DLSU-D, my Alma Mater. I'm the one on the Left and together with me is Senator Richard "Dick" Gordon, Presidential Candidate for the May 10 Philippine Elections.

Just like me, Senator Gordon's Roots were Traced from the Historical Province of CAVITE. He was part of the 1971 Constitutional Convention where he was the youngest delegate, still a student he represented the 1st District of Zambales. He became the Mayor of Olongapo City for 3 terms, 1980 - 1993. After that, he established the SBMA or the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority that became one of the Best Economic Zones not just during those times but up until now.

But on 1998, He was forcibly removed by Former President Joseph Estrada (Who was convicted, pardoned and is running AGAIN for the presidency) because of personal issues, one being Richard Gordon as his fierce critic. Then after participating on the second People Power Revolution that led to the impeachment of President Estrada, He was appointed as the New Secretary of Tourism. This is when I truly became a fan of Senator Gordon. I was barely 12 that time but I am very aware of all his works. With his experience with Procter and Gamble and SBMA, He placed the Philippines in the Tourism Map by his WOW Philippines Campaign.

2004 He ran for the Senate and despite the Surveys that placed him 29th during the Pre-elections, He placed 5th in the Final Official Tally garnering more than 12 million votes. The Veteran's Bill, National Tourism Act of 2009 and the Election Automations are just a small part of his records as a Senator.

And when he declared his plans for running as the President. I did not even think twice that I will not just give him my vote but I have been campaigning for him and persuaded almost hundreds to vote for him. Now, I am persuading you! We all have the free right to Suffrage but If you're going to ask me, DICK GORDON deserves all our votes. Votes for the REAL CHANGE that the country needs! All his works are just inspiring much more are his plans for our Nation! He has proven a lot than those stinky Surveys.

To the Filipino People, I assure you, GORDON's Victory will be Triumph for each and every Filipino! I am so excited to regain the respect that our country has lost from the past decades. I even texted him earlier tried if he'll reply since he gave us his number during his visit to our University. And He did, I'm very sure it was him! I'm leaving you all with his words, part of his long reply to my message. This May 10, 2010, Proudly with my head held high, My Vote is for RICHARD "DICK" GORDON!!!

"Steven, i hope that you campaign for me even if im not there. Appreciate your efforts. It's high time we change this country and I welcome your support. Today is the last day of the campaign and we have to work double time. I hope u and your friends can spread the word today. There is a country to be won. Let's win it together. This s Dick Gordon"

Congratulations!

Shot at Bahay Pag-Asa, DLSU-D last March 26, 2010

Photo Features me and my Classmates who managed to succeed all the requirements of the Four Years of our Degree. We were Fourteen on our Class out of almost 80 Graduates from the Computer Science Major. All other Classes were shot officially by a Photographer but the announcement failed to reach us so we just did our own Class Pictures officiated by none other than yours truly.

After a lifelong hardwork, patience and waiting, the day has finally arrived, My College Graduation! Dreaming of wearing my Black Toga, Tassel still on the left longing to go to the other side and on queue with my fellow Graduates has been a part of Yesterday now. It was truly a proud yet humbling experience for every graduate, parent and University Staff along the premises of the Commencement. No words can describe the feeling we have been in during the whole Ceremony! All the Learnings and Values imparted by the school will be brought by us, the Graduates, Forever. but the best thing I can bring for the next volume of my life's novel are the Characters which are my College Classmates who have proven their love, respect and appreciation to me and will forever be protagonists of my Journey!

Survivor Indang

In the Middle of the Jungles of Indang, Cavite, I, together with my 15 Classmates had experienced the Game of Survivor, SURVIVOR INDANG. I hosted the Two day event that served as our Post-College Trip just before our Graduation this coming 26th of March. We were on the woods from the 10th till the 11th of this Month and it was truly a fun experience! It was way way out of your Typical College Outing/Trip because it was full of Challenges and Experiences that can never be easily organized. I was honored to be the host of my friends and it was truly tiring yet full of fun!

The Alamid (Wild Cat endemic at Indang known for its Alamid Coffee) Tribe and the Sawa (Boa Constrictor) Tribe battled it all out and the Sole Survivor, Jayson Sabale, Outwitted, Outplayed, and Outlasted all other 14 Castaways and cruised his way to the Top. Together with the Final Four, Aljon Guttierez, Ralph Sanchez and Diane Rosario, they led our classmates to every Challenge and had a hand on voting out all other Castaways.

It was very unforgettable and we shall cherish this for the rest of our lives! As we part our separate ways two weeks from now, We already planned for our Third Season, SURVIVOR ZAMBALES... Coming Soon, this December 2010. One of my closest friends Ralph Sanchez made a Teaser of our Event. It is on the Embedded Video Below

Welcome to Tagaytay City

February 28, 2010

Majestic Clouds caped us while we were on the Highway from Batangas Province entering Cavite, Tagaytay City. It was a very cool day and as I have mentioned before, Tagaytay City is truly the Coldest point in Cavite with average Temperature of around 20 - 24 degrees Celsius all year round. Yes, that is considered cold for a Tropical Country like the Philippines. I am very sorry for the quality since I was inside my friend's car when I got to take this shot. I would like to thank everyone for joining me this whole month of February.

I am very proud to say that this moth has been Cavite Daily Photo's month with the most posts since October 2008. Despite the busy schedule getting ready for Graduation this March, I still had all the time and most importantly, the drive to deliver you all fresh photos of Cavite with all your inspiration and Kind Comments! Those comments are what keeps me and my Blog running!

Thank you all so much and may he have a Fantastic March ahead! 26 Days left till my College Graduation! I'm so excited! You guys made my College life a lot easier because every stress I've had is erased by all you kind words and never ending support! I'll leave you all with the plea to pray for Chile and all the Surrounding Pacific Islands, including The Philippines for we have a Tsunami Alert. God Bless the World!

Hazy Sky Watching

February 26, 2010

This was shot on our Senior Year Retreat at Charles Huang Convention Center just beside Tagaytay City last August 2009. You can see my dear friend Macon savoring the beautiful hazy horizon facing Batangas Province during the morning we arrived. The Morning Fog enveloped us and the whole surrounding with its cool misty feel which made everyone happy.

Our retreat was truly a fun experience! The whole Block bonded together during those two days and it was truly a memorable experience we will treasure forever, Just as the BCS42 Motto, "We are all made of Stars".

It's Hard to say Goodbye

February 25, 2010

De La Salle University - Dasmariñas of Dasmariñas, Cavite, my home for the past four years of College. Whew! It was truly a breeze, College Life? But every step of it was truly a learning experience for every student that will enter these gates and experience the 'home' away from home environment that DLSU-D offers. Unlike other colleges, DLSU-D truly gave a carefree environment that students from different Provinces here at the Philippines enjoyed and went hand in hand with the quality education it offers.

A member Institution of De La Salle Philippines Inc., One of only three 'Dark Green' Schools in the Republic accredited by the 'Dark Green Schools' Accreditation, an Environmental Accreditation Body for Colleges and Universities across the Nation. PAASCU Accredited Level III and an Autonomous University as granted by CHED. The list goes on and on but the most important honor it had is having students like me who are truly proud of the University that 'created possibilities' towards our very own success.

I will truly be proud to be a part of this institution and forever honored to be an Alumnus of DLSU-D, my University. While the Wise and Beautiful Trees bid goodbye to us Seniors as we march out of its gates and into the world, all of the memories of Green and White will always be in all of our hearts, continuously playing like a film without sound. But as for me, Will it really be Goodbye to DLSU-D?

HAIL DLSU-D BATCH 2010! HAIL TO DE LA SALLE!

The Unexpected Paradise

February 24, 2010

I hope I did not spoil your excitement but here it is. As we walked a minute from the photo yesterday, this is what you'll see, a beautiful River, Crystal Clear, which is very rare on present Cavite. This is actually located at Barangay Tapia, General Trias, Cavite. You can see fishes swimming even from the Banks full of Sand and the greens are just truly overwhelming!

My dad said that when He was young, he and his friends would go here for camping! They've got so many memories with all his friends out here. Though most of them are already in the States, whenever they would all get together for a reunion, they're still the closest friends you'll see.

Path to an Unexpected Paradise

Febraury 23, 2010

While we were on the Rove along the Municipality. My dad suddenly stopped beside the road and said he would be showing me something. A place where he and his friends went camping and chilling during his Teenage days. First I refused because it's all grassy and I am very prone to itch but when I saw this pathway, I got down from the truck and Followed him.

As you can see Tall Bamboo and Wild Banana Trees have been lining along the way towards the 'place' we are going to. It was just at the end of the path, which you can see in this photo, you can have a glimpse of what is in there. I was truly WOWed by what I saw. I never expected to see such a place here in our town. I am sharing the view!

Tomorrow! So Stay tuned and be here Tomorrow and You'll know what I mean.

General Trias to the Rescue

February 22, 2010

Today, I will be featuring a very important subject for me. This is the Rescue II Truck of the Municipality of General Trias, of course, Cavite. The man in front of the Truck is nobody else but my Dad. He has been working for the Municipal Government's Rescue Team for almost 5 years now. It is a very busy Job because you always have to be alert 24/7 and almost everyday, He is in charge of streetlight checking and repair and other tasks which requires the Rescue Truck.

On my free days, I also come with him to his Rove around the Municipality and help whatever I can do. When I do, I usually bring my Camera because it is a very good Photo Opportunity of course, we'll never know what great things we'll e seeing worth shooting! But in case of emergency, I always have my Camera Phone to the RESCUE!

I am very proud of my Father! He is a very great guy and of big help not just to us, his Family, but to the whole Municipality as well.

Worried about Money

February 21, 2010

On my ride to the University, I was very lucky to have ridden this Jeepney that has this sign just behind the Driver's seat. It says everything that I really feel for tough times as now and I wish everybody on this earth would. I am very happy that there are still people willing to Spread the Word of God in their very own possible way.

"Do you want to be truly Rich? You already are if you're happy and good. After all, we didn't bring any money with us when we came into the world, and we can't carry away a single penny when we die. So we should be well satisfied without money if we have enough food or clothing. But people who long to be rich soon begin to do all kinds of wrong thing to get money, things that hurt them and make them evil minded and finally send them to hell itself. For the love of money is the first step towards ALL kinds of sins. Some people even turned away from God because of their love for it, and as a result have pierced themselves with many sorrows"

The Passage tells us not to avoid money because of course, we do need it. But desiring for more and becoming greedy is when it becomes bad. It's not wrong to have a lot of money, unless you are doing your actions to share your blessings with other people and not using it for Power or the likes, then you really deserve all the blessings from God. Have a Great Week ahead!

Fire!!!

February 20, 2010

I was homebound from the University on a Heat-filled afternoon when my Jeepney passed this cloud of smoke and we were all wondering were did it came from! Until we made the turn at San Francisco, General Trias, Cavite, where in this spot, oftenly called Monterey(Places from California isn't it) a massive smoke cloud was starting to get more and more bigger until we knew that the grasses are on fire. So the Traffic Enforcers made our Jeepney turn back and pass an alternative road just beside the main one, including that one in front of us.

Until now, there is still no exact proof as to how the Fire started but Jeepney drivers think it is because of those little shops that lined up the street that caused it.

By the way, to everyone that kindly leaves their touching comments, please do come back on that very post you left it because I always reply to them^^

The Dragon that Captured my Heart

February 14, 2010
Photo Shot earlier at 9:40 We were at Binondo, Manila the Whole day to celebrate the Chinese New Year! It was loads of fun and Dragon dances here and there! But the one that captured my heart are these children playing along with a carton and one of them was beating the can, their drum. I was really awed by the creativity of these Kids that no matter what, they can always have all the fun they want! As I was shooting them, One of them saw me and they stopped because they were just really playing around! But eventually, they continued as we left their street! I was really amazed not just how resourceful they are but they really perform like professionals on that very street! The beating was perfect, actually better than some Dragon Dancers we saw the whole day! This very Moment touched my heart and gave me hope that youth from my country, despite the poverty and all other aspects of crisis, can still have all the abilities to dream and act their dreams for success for themselves and I hope, for the world as well. Kung Hei Fat Choi to all my Fellow Chinese-Filipinos and to each and every Chinese around the world! May we have a Great Year ahead! Also, Happy Valentines Friends! Continue touching hearts! I just want to greet my friend Hilda of My Manila for including me and my blog on one of her posts! It really meant a lot my friend! I LOVE MANILA! WE ALL DO! Forgive me everybody for my week-long absence, Midterms passed by. God Bless us all

DLSU-D Presidential Forum

February 6, 2009

Photos were taken Yesterday at De La Salle University - Dasmariñas, Dasmariñas, Cavite, My Beloved Alma Mater. Featuring Presidentiables Former National Defense Secretary Gilberto "Gibo" Teodoro and Senator Richard "Dick" Gordon. Out of all the 8 Candidates, only the two of them were brave enough and allotted their time to meet us LaSallians.

Gibo Teodoroarrived first, the entourage was wearing all green including the Whole Local Government of
Dasmariñas, Congressman Pidi Barzaga and her wife Mayor Jenny Barzaga, plus their Whole Sangguniang Bayan. Then his time started. He is a great speaker, straight to the point and very professional but confident in his manner. After his Hour, He left with his Entourage with the crowd cheering and applauding, and somestudents had their photos taken with him until he got out of Ugnayang La Salle(Our Gymnasium).

But the crowd went wilder when a shorter guy came inside the ULS, it was Senator Dick Gordon. It was quite a while when he arrived in front and
he was very enthusiatic climbing the stage and unlike Gibo, he was more laid back and very very comfortable talking us all. Every statement he gives, the crowd roars with applause and laughter. And after his whole time, students were running up the stage (Including Yours Truly) to shake his hand and take pictures with him. I was very very lucky to have my picture with him! I look upon him even when he was still the Department of Tourism Secretary from 2001 until being a Senator from 2004 until the Present.

The whole LaSallian Community of Dasmariñas, salutes the two candidates for accepting our invitation. I also want to personally thank Brother Gus, our University President and all the organizers for bringing us, registered voters to people to whom we shall give our vote. Ill leave you with a quote from Bro. Gus. It goes something like this: "DLSU-D does not endorse any Candidate, You have your own mind to choose your own. But please remember, never not give your vote to a Candidate because he/she has a poor chance of winning. If you believe in him/her, then they deserve your vote."

I missed SKYWATCH FRIDAY so much!

February 5, 2010

It was a very Sunny yet windy morning at Tagaytay City, Cavite on the Second of January this year! So as to celebrate the beginning of the New Year, me and my friends decided to fly kites and it was really really fun! A lot of people have been flying kites too from little kids, to Grandfathers as well! It was very memorable for us since we don't fly kites so often!

The photo above shows my cousin Judy flying our Kite way way up in the sky! That moment, we reached the final end of our line and just held it up until it went down. Just like in life, If ever we reached our peak, there will always come a time that we will go down. Though, it is always up to us to gather up and try flying again! Who knows, this time, the peak that we thought is actually just a stepping stone to a higher altitude of our dreams!

I would also like to take this opportunity to everybody that sent their Congratulation Greetings over my last posts! It really really is uplifting and truly touching to read all you greetings, especially to you all my Blogger Friends!

This is my Skywatch Post after almost four months of absence! I hope you would all like it! Wish to see more stories of the Sky? Click on the link:Skywatch Friday. Thanks to everyone and God Bless us all this coming Weekend!

Everyone has their time. For me, This is it!

February 3, 2010

This is the second time in Cavite Daily Photo that I have featured Yours Truly. This is it, the moment I have been dreaming all my life, Me on a Black Toga, Graduation Picture. After four long years in the University, I am about to receive my Bachelor's Degree in less than two months. Me and my Classmates were very excited and truly emotional as we received our Graduation Photo Packages earlier at school. I nearly cried of so much Joy in my heart!

I thank God so much for giving me an opportunity to have parents and grandparents that supported my education from Kindergarten up to College. Also, without all my friends and all the people that believed in me, I will not be able to attain everything that I have right now, including you my fellow Bloggers, you made my College life fun. You gave me a way to get out of everything and immerse myself from scenes you deliver on my desktop!

I know this time means goodbye to schooling but I will forever be learning all of the lessons that life is to offer me. I am very proud of what I have accomplished, passed my course with flying colors and not being what a typical college student. Now, I want to extend all my gratitude to each and everyone of you. And I am hoping that you would continue supporting me in my journey of life.

CONGRATULATIONS BATCH 2010! THIS IS OUR TIME :D

Treats from the Deli

February 2, 2009
After my Mom and Dad went to the Hospital for her Check up, They went to Säntis Deli Store with branches at Alabang, Silang, Cavite and Metro Manila. I Love Deli stores! It gives me this fresh feeling that I usually get on early morning markets and the goods are different than the ones you can buy on Supermarkets and Groceries, They got Fresh Milks, Pate, Ham, Swiss Goodies and seasonings.

I just want to greet my friends Abe Lincoln and Patty Lincoln. I don't know if there are still bloggers who don't know them, if you're one of them Better click on their names(which will lead you to their Blogger Profiles) and check on their blogs or you'll miss a big part of inspirations you will be having for your life! They're truly a very inspiring couple! To Abe and Patty, I know I've said this so mind times but that will never be enough, Thank You so much and keep on inspiring us.

Tomorrow is a very very big day for me so stay tuned for tomorrow's post for you to know why! Have a Great rest of the week and God Bless us all :D

Forever Young - COS College Day

February 1, 2010

HIgh School Students? Nahh! Believe it or not, these are our College Professors. They are the Cute Faculty of the Computer Studies Department. As a part of the La Sallian Festival (Jan. 26 - 29, 2010) on the last day, the College of Science celebrates its College Day. During the said event, Faculty members from four Departments of the College of Science namely, Biological Sciences Department (BSD), Computer Sciences Department (CSD), Mathematical Sciences Department (MSD), and Physical Sciences Department (PSD), compete on an annual Faculty Dance Competition.

This year's theme is Asian Pop Songs. Songs from Korea, Japan and Taiwan were featured on the Professors' Presentations. As you can see, the CSD Teachers are wearing a "Boys over Flowers" inspired costume while strutting their stuff on the dance floor! It was really really fun. Our Department, CSD, finished Second to the Three year Champion PSD. But win or lose, every single professor that performed were all worthy of all our cheers and these are times when students like me feel utmost pride for our Mentors! Congratulations COS Teachers! And as we leave the University this March, You all gave us something that we can be mostly proud of, our teachers!

Biggest Human LaSallian Star Formation - Year II

January 28, 2010

Yes! We did it again! January 26, 2010, from more than 10,000 Participants last year, we exceeded the projected 12,000 Green and White Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, Friends and Family. And I am very proud to say that for the second consecutive year (My Last by the way) I was a part of it. It makes me so proud that I was a part of my University's Pride. It was truly liberating to be there, that night with almost all my fellow LaSallians and be a part of a wider scope of Oneness!

Here are some Aerial Shots of the Biggest Human LaSallian Star held at De La Salle University - Dasmariñas, Dasmariñas, Cavite. Credits for the Following Photos goes to Mr. Gilbert Poblete and Edikenkoy:

Cows

January 25, 2010

When I was a kid, I always get my thoughts stuck whenever someone like that is in front of me. Is it a Cow or a Carabao? Now, I knew that there are no Light colored Carabao(Water Buffalo) and very seldom Dark colored Cows. But one thing is for sure, I really really find them cute! I was about to touch them there in the fields but my Dad said no because it might kick me.

It was very sunny during that day at Barrio Pasong Camachile and these Cows are laying on the warm grasses to relax and get their afternoon drowse.

Harvest Time

January 24, 2010

This was shot using my phone's Camera. I shot this while I'm on my Jeepney ride home from the University. The weather here has been very delightful for the past month due to cold air from the Siberian Region. Here, you can see the farmers harvesting their rice before the January rain pours(Yes, it rains in January in here). I so love my fellowmen, especially these farmers. Without them there would be no rice on our plates. They deserve all the recognition from us and I can say that any praise is never enough for the hard work. Let us all remember the farmers on our next prayers and thank God for having them!

I know it has been so long AGAIN since I've been on the air for Cavite Daily Photo! Well, Here I am. Been very very busy for Graduation Requirements and that is not an excuse okay! I'm sure you my friends would understand :) 62 days to go till my very big day! Oh my, time does fly fast! I can still remember myself counting the years for my Elementary Graduation, High School Graduation and now, I am about to receive my Bachelor's Degree on the 26th of March. I am very very excited and proud!

Did you miss my posts guys? I did miss everybody! God Bless us all and may we all have a wonderful coming week!
