Sleeping World under a Blanket of Clouds

Recent Afternoon Clouds, General Trias

This beautiful photograph was taken by my niece, Abrielle, and was sent to me via Telegram App. I really like the Telegram App because it maintains the resolution and quality of the photos that you send over mobile, unlike on Facebook or in Messenger.

Abrielle also shared to me a story that her grade school teacher once told them. That when the clouds in the sky turn to be something like a blanket of little cotton bolls just like that above, it would signify a coming Earthquake. I have never heard of that superstition yet, maybe it's an original from her teacher's town.

Today in the Philippines, and also in India as per my teammates from work, we celebrate Labor Day which remembers and commemorates the heroism or workers in all aspects of the society. May we offer a short prayer and thoughts to our workers, especially to those on the front-lines in this very time.

  7. I've never heard that saying about earthquakes. Usually when we have skies like that we will get stormy weather within 48 hours.
What a pretty name your niece has :)

  12. Hi Stevenson. You niece took a great sky there. You're gonna have to keep your own photos up to scratch now if you want to beat that one. I'm waiting for comments on the above post. I can just see the calf. I'm sure someone else will spot the intruder. did the calf make a comment just as you took the picture? LoL
