Fruit Stands, General Trias
Now on a very leaner lockdown with just curfews imposed, anybody can now go to the market and buy what they need for the day. With this new normal, shop owners have to wake up as early as 2 am to fix their items with suppliers and tend their store to be ready for the 5 am opening where citizens start to flood out the store to fulfill their daily market lists. As you can see, the plastic barriers are still raised up while in preparation but when the clock strikes 5 in the morning, all of those cover up faces and creates transparent barriers.
Well, that's a good start but very early. I hope the shop owners do well and people stay within the rules. Best to you and all the other shoppers who will visit the market. Raining right now and I told Nr. Rain to prepare for the journey to Cavite. :) Have a wonderful day, my friend.
ReplyDeleteYey!!! Super nice of you my friend Bill! Would love to have him on the weekend, for sure he'll have to travel halfway around the world from Ireland :)
DeleteHave an awesome Wednesday my friend Bill!
...just getting food is difficult for many!
ReplyDeleteVery sad reality brother Tom :( Praying for a better world soeday even with the rates of going the opposite track.
DeleteHappy Wednesday!
I hope it is not a mistake to open things up...both here and there. I am just this afternoon trying to decide whether I want to go shopping later or go in the morn.
ReplyDeleteI am with you on that struggle Rose. Since June 1st anybody is now allowed to go out as long as within the curfew hours but still I feel lucky that I got everything I need so far so now it's Day 80 of lockdown at home for me.
DeleteStay Safe Rose! Go when there's less people
It is a tough situation isn't it? People need to work but people need to isolate too. It is hard to compromise. Stay safe please!
ReplyDeleteVery true Erika, especially these people who rely on those for bread and butter
DeleteOh, Stevenson, I hope for a job where I can start at 06:00 am, like I had!
ReplyDeleteAlways good to start early, it´s like being on a constant holiday!
But 02:00 am?! Sorry, I´m out. Or in, as sleeping soundly in bed ;-)
Oh if I have a choice too I would love to work at 6 am too! A little too early but you'll be done by 2-3pm. 2am is sooo hard! I think its harder than what I work at 8pm-5am. at least I dont have to wake in the middle of the night right HAHA
DeleteI know so many businesses are struggling because of being locked down - these stall holders must be so thankful to be open again. However, I do hope everyone takes proper precautions to stay safe. Take care, Mxx
ReplyDeleteYou are very right Margaret especially that these store owners rely on what the earn for all their expenses. But I really hope so too they stay safe as much as possible
DeleteOh my gosh that is an early start for the shop owners SQ, even 5 o'clock for the buyers 😱 I have to admit I still would feel uncomfortable in a crowded area.
ReplyDeleteSame here Grace! Day 81 of house arrest for me! the farthest I have been in the past 81 days was across the street in front of our house to get something from a passing friend HAHA
DeleteThat is a super early start, I hope they make some business. I feel sad for all those that rely on their sales to survive.
ReplyDeleteYou said it absolutely as it is Sami! That is all they rely on for the whole family and their household :(
DeleteI will be worried about going to the fruit market when it opens. The plastic barriers look very smart.
ReplyDeleteMe too Jeanie and even with those new precautions I am still afraid to go outside especially with my bad case of health anxiety when I always feel like I am sick an dthe symptoms I read and hear I really feel them :( So going outside would just trigger thoughts aside from the real danger and risk.
DeleteThat sure is an early start. At least people can earn a living and others can buy stuff. :-D
ReplyDeleteYes and a big Yes Ananka! Thanks to their sacrifices we can have nutritious fruits at the table :)
