Good Friday

Crucifixion Scene, General Trias

Jesus died on the cross for all of us, to wash away our since and for us to obtain the promise of eternal life. In times like these when we remember his passion, death, and resurrection, we also remember how hope sparks from within us and can never be put off by fear. As long as we have hope in our hearts, we can always fight our way and be patient until the perfect time comes.

This Good Friday, I invite everyone to meditate and reflect on what is happening and all the lessons it is providing us and also to pray for other people suffering and sacrificing themselves for the sake of others. Storms like these are hard to trudge through but we can always make it through as long as we fight with fire in our hearts. There is promise, we just have to believe and ignite that hope.

  5. If only the world would meditate on this Good Friday and dig deep into this -- the horrible things that are happening and the good through connection and heroic efforts of so many. I hope your Good Friday is one of great contemplation and beauty.

    1. Your words are very beautiful and true Jeanie. We really need to do more of reflecting, even after this pandemic which we all hope would end soon. It was oslemn and quiet, hope yours was too Jeanie :)

  6. My friend, I admire the strength of your religious convictions. I was brought up as a Christian and I continue to practice it as much as possible even though I no longer “believe”. I try to be a good and moral person and to live an ethical and fulfilling life on the basis of reason and humanity.

Enjoy your Easter and stay safe Stephenson. The Philippines is a beautiful part of the world that I would love to visit someday.

    1. Phil your words moved me, thank you so much. I guess it's because of the different beliefs I grew up to, my family is Catholic but I spent 12 years on a protestant school so I take the good from all of those different beliefs which I think has done good to my Faith. I admire your practice and I think that what you do is all the really matters. Religion cannot save us and make us good, it's the actions and morals so you are in a very good track :)

Thank you so much Phil, that means sooo much to hear that about my country and please do visit our islands, they are beautiful gems!

    1. Very very true and agree with you on that Susie. This pandemic has thought us so much about different things about our world and this life. Life is very important and those who still think their wealth is number one even during these times, oh my. Stay Safe!
